Great site

Had a long weekend here. Good sight, I like the extra little touches that's being added, like the doggy shower. It's clear the wardens go that extra little bit to improve the site. We will be going again.

Beautiful

A fabulously kept site with fun features around the gateway and reception area. Friendly staff and lovely pitches. Great access into the Peak District.

A great park.

We had such a good time at this park, loads of walks. The wardens were really friendly and helpful.  We will be coming again for sure.

Blackshaw Moor

It was our first visit to the area, we have always stayed at Chatsworth on previous occasions and we are delighted with our new choice. The site is on a fairly busy road, but once in the site there was no problem with traffic noise. The site is lovely, the pitches are well spaced mostly with mature tree hedging, which gives a sense of privacy. Site wardens can (and have) taken the edge off a holiday but the 4 wardens at Blackshaw were so friendly and helpful, advising us of the best places to eat, the best walks and nothing was too much bother, we cannot praise them highly enough. The toilet blocks were spotless. It is a site we will certainly return to in the future.

Super Site

This was our first stay at Blackshaw Moor and we were absolutely delighted.  OK the weather made a difference but the whole 4 nights were great. The staff were helpful, informative, friendly and couldn't do enough to help.  We were readily advised on suitable pitches and had no difficulty finding one. The facilities were close by and spotlessly clean.  Our pitch was next to the children's play area and it was encouraging to see the staff doing safety checks each morning.  It was term time so the few toddlers around were not a distraction or problem.  We saw something here not seen anywhere else: a dog shower!  We aren't dog owners but this was a great facility. The location was great.  We have been at other sites in the Peak District including Grinlow all of which we enjoyed, but Blackshaw gave us the ability to explore and walk in the western Peak.  Great walks at the local reservoir and at Rudyard.  We will definitely stay at Blackshaw again sometime in the future.  Highly recommended.

very nice

Beautifully kept by industrious, helpful and friendly wardens. Noise from near-incessant traffic on lower level seemed unpleasantly high but on the higher levels well subdued by trees. Sites generously wide but the front windows of larger vans are close to the road and neighbours across the narrow street - a bit cosy. The site's play area looked modern and was well used. Lovely showers etc. Great hiking 10 minutes walk away on The Roaches which isn't mentioned in the CC Handbook. It was a horrible walk to Tittesworth reservoir on a road that was VERY busy even on a weekday. We found Leek amazingly interesting and enjoyable. Buxton is, of course, lovely and is a short drive away. Good shopping in nearby Leek.

Lovely Site

Stayed over bank holiday weekend - very friendly wardens - got an excellent sized pitch and it is a very spacious site - we have stayed before as we like the location - near to places such as water world and Alton towers which are useful if weather not great!! Lovely meal at a pub called Three Horseshoes well within walking distance - would certainly return and recommend.
