A Big Thank You to the wardens. Great site excellent in all respects,

I was unfortunate to witness abuse levelled at the warden during a time when the toilets were shut for cleaning. The member was not happy that the warden wouldn't open them, which was followed with foul insults bawled at the warden by the member. We have rules which we follow and recognize the need for cleanliness in the current climate with covid. Our wardens do a brilliant job and should be treated with respect and not pilloried by any member. Due to the rain my motorhome got stuck in a waterlogged grass patch, the warden went out of his way to assist and get me out of the mire, for which I am very grateful. I received great advice and help for the warden both at Bearsted and when he was at the Ferry Meadows site. In my view the site is well run and the warden first class. Thankyou.

Great Site

We stayed there from 1st July to 10th July. A really good welcome from the Wardens. The grounds were kept immaculate. The effort the warden has put in with the flowers at the reception is fantastic. The facilities were kept extremely clean and safe. There is some background noise from the roads, but that did not affect us. We love this site, as it is good for touring from to see Kent. Leeds Castle is very near and you can walk to it. There is a Park and Ride a sort distance away to visit Maidstone for any shopping. There are several pubs in the area for good food. We would certainly recommend it for a good time.

Open and pleasant site

Stayed here for the first time, found it to be a pleasant open site with good sized pitches. Staff were very helpful. Dog walking area on the small side but in just a short walk along the main road is a large spacious woodland park. Not far from Leeds Castle.

Great Wardens on a great site.

Site review 🤩⁣ Bearsted ⁣ ⁣ *Convenient location - situated just off the M20, a good site to go exploring from. ⁣ *Small and very quiet site - 62 pitches, mix of hardstanding and grass. ⁣ *Run by a lovely husband and wife team, Alan and Dee, who clearly work incredibly hard to maintain the site to a very high standard. **Please remember to always be kind to our lovely wardens, who do a fab job of running the sites. ⁣ *Immaculate facilities - love the touch of flowers in the ladies. ⁣ *Reception has a well stocked shop selling the basics. ⁣ *Stand alone fresh water taps at various points on the site - very handy. ⁣ *Bus stop outside the site - Maidstone and Canterbury.⁣ *Bearsted woodland trust is a short walk away. ⁣ *The village of Bearsted is an approx 20 min walk away, where you will find two pubs, a fish restaurant and a shop/deli.⁣ *A very small dog walk area. ⁣ *Small play park suitable for young children. ⁣ To note: The site does not open until 1pm.

Overnight Stay

Had an overnight stay to try out our new campervan. Lovely clean site, staff helpful and friendly. Only downside was the continuous noise throughout the night from the M20 motorway and we appeared to be directly under a rookery which kicked off at 4am! All in all a very poor nights sleep. Sadly would not return.

A big thank you ....

We were at Bearstead recently 17th__20th June after the death of my father. We stayed here to arrange the funeral. My sister was alongside us in her caravan. I cannot thank the wardens enough for the kindness shown to us and for letting us have a late departure. Tina went the extra mile for us thank you so much Tina. Xxxx

A wandering we will go

Recently stayed for a week with excellent weather, site is a good size in that it's not too big and has a more personal feel. Good sized and quality hard standing pitches in excellent condition with grass for those who need to get pegs in the ground easily. Central pitches around medium sized trees are excellent for shade on a hot sunny day. As with ANY site speeding is an issue and the wardens do their best to educate those who do not understand that 5 mph is usually just first gear not above. Arrivals area is a bit back to front as bay for first arrived is blocked in by 2nd arrival and then them also by 3rd arrival. 1st cannot proceed onto site till 3rd and 2nd have cleared their bays, best solution is arrive on your own! Luckily the wardens are well aware and try to limit use of bays 1 & 2. Motorway noise is apparent if the wind is blowing in the right direction but not a big issue as volume is more a drone. A bus stop right outside is a bonus for motor homers or those wishing a break from driving although Folkestone is only 25 mins away by car. Overall a great little site.

Lovely campsite

Enjoyed a lovely half term break, the wardens are very friendly and helpful, especially when we run out of gas. We found lots of great walks and cycle rides, although you do have to cross the main road first. Visited Mote Park, which is great for the kids. Bearsted on the Green is lovely too. Lots of nice country pubs all around the area.

Bearsted Experience

This is a very nice site, small and friendly, a little isolated but that has it's benefits. The warden is very helpful and always busy. I would recommend this site to anyone and am looking forward to my next visit. One pub in Bearsted green (The Oak on the Green) is about 1 1/4 miles away and is worth a visit. Pleanty going on in the area if you are happy to search for it. Leeds Castle, Maidstone etc, bus stop right outside the site with hourly service into Maidstone.
