Welcoming all round

Wanting just a weekend away not too far from home this site ticked all the boxes. The wardens that welcomed us were most friendly and charming people, taking time to chat with us and happily share their life experiences (which I must say we found both fascinating and informative). The facilities were spotless, the flower beds and planters beautifully cared for and pitches spacious. As we wanted a rest we didn't venture far from site, apart from walking the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside. However situated centrally in Kent this site would make an ideal base for exploring the county and has Leeds Castle very close by. The only slight negative is that it is fairly close to the busy A20 and although this makes it handy for overnight stops when using Channel crossings there was a little noticeable road noise on occasion. All in all a pleasant break on a site we would not hesitate to visit again which was enhanced by being allowed to depart a bit later than usual and enjoy the weekend to the full.

Country views

Lovely warm welcome by the staff on my arrival at Bearsted for my first trip out in march 2015. The place is always kept lovely and clean. The countryside was a picture every morning coated in a heavy frost with rabbits hopping about on the lawns. The peace and quite was great for a restful week but the location is close for many good days out.

What more could one need ?

Clean, quiet and very handy for your cross channel ferry. We used this site on the first day of the 2014 school summer holidays. Expecting it to be a little overcrowded, we very surprise to find the opposite. The staff were very nice and the site was well groomed. 40 minutes from the chaos that is the Port of Dover !!! See you all again in 2015 and thank you for your hospitality..

Return to Bearsted

We stayed here in Dec 2013 and enjoyed the site so much that we came back again for Dec 2014 and stayed a bit longer this time. Location, pitches and wardens who are both friendly and carers of an immaculate site make it worth coming back, which we will do again. Last time I reviewed the site I said that it sets the standard, and even with temperatures that fell well below zero during our recent stay nothing has changed my opinion!

Brilliant site, ideal for one night or two weeks.

This was our fifth stay at Bearsted. This site is simply perfect, aside from a little road noise, the wardens are brilliant, both the regular and stand ins. The site is kept immaculately clean and tidy as are the toilets and shower blocks. The toilet/shower blocks have a radio on 24 hours a day which I think is great, radio two I think. The site is so easy to find and just a few hundred yards from the M20 and just 25 minutes to the Channel tunnel, down the M20, onto the slip road and straight into the ticket booths. Ideal as a stop over. The site, being where it is located, is an excellent base for discovering Kent, 40 minutes one way are the white cliffs of Dover, 30 minutes North is the Isle of Sheppey. 45 minutes North East and you're in Margate. If you have a motor home and use pubic transport, there's a bus stop right at the entrance which runs to Maidstone and Ashford. Love this site, my family and I will definitely be back very soon...when are the children on holiday again? :)
