A firm favourite :)

Love this site Happy Every pitch is unique. So many completely different areas to choose... secluded in woodland, hard standing in walled garden  to open sunny grass pitches. Washrooms immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful Smile  Wonderful foodie pub up the road called The Squirrel.

Brilliant site

Visited for a 3 night break, booked with friends who have visited before. The site was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff were very nice and all very helpful. There was plenty of information on local places to visit and general information. The route supplied by the caravan club was not suitable for towing, so plan your own route.

Great site

We loved this site. Lots of great walks - we followed 1066 route into Battle and visited the battle site. In the opposite direction fabulous countryside and views, as well as the pub at Brownbread Street (I promise you that's the name of the hamlet!). We visited the science centre at Herstmonceaux, which we think would be a great place to take children, as well as being great fun for grown ups too.

Easter break

Overall a very pleasant site. It has different pitch sites, so you can be secluded amongst trees, with just 3 or 4 units to bigger more open areas. Facitilites very clean but a 10 am cleaning time is too early. We are meant to be on holiday, away from clocks and relaxing after all!!!! A lovely walking area accessible from the site, even though dogs have to be kept on leads. We arrived late and it was dark, so map was difficult to see clearly, so it would have been beneficial if the wardens had informed us that the roads around the site are dead ends, compared as to most cc sites that go round in a circle, as we got stuck and trying to turn around dented our van. Another help would be better directions/signs on the road. Would love to go back however to see the rhodderdendrons in flower.

Weekend Break

What a lovely club site. Only stayed one night but will be back throughout the summer no doubt. Very friendly warm and helpful welcome from the wardens and excellent facilities. The pitches are laid out well with little private areas between the mature trees and landscaping steeped in history. The dog walk will then walk you through a pleasant walk through woods full of bluebells and foot path past the fields full of sheep to the local village and pub. The pub is also nice and the food is great..

spring break

Wc/showers block facilities 1st rate, as usual the staff cheerful and helpful, A fair walk to local bus service, accessed better when dry, but good location for all the historical site's and coastal town's.

Good first visit

We only live a short distance from the site but will definetley be a regular visitor now. There is such a good choice of pitch and it makes a change to be able to walk around before choosing. We had a nice easy walk into Catsfield village and emerged into the village with a good shop and post office on the right hand side as well as a sausage shop selling all types of meat products as well as eggs and cheese , and on our left a wonderful pub. What more can you want.
