Brilliant

This is a great site. Interesting and varied areas to pitch and generous in size too. Facilities very clean and staff very helpful. Well situated to visit East Sussex attractions. I will visit again.

Good first visit

We only live a short distance from the site but will definetley be a regular visitor now. There is such a good choice of pitch and it makes a change to be able to walk around before choosing. We had a nice easy walk into Catsfield village and emerged into the village with a good shop and post office on the right hand side as well as a sausage shop selling all types of meat products as well as eggs and cheese , and on our left a wonderful pub. What more can you want.

Excellent start to our caravanning season

My wife chose this site as although we have been members for many years we have never visited the site. It was a good choice. The site is very well established with many mature and majestic trees. The pitches are laid out in several distinct and separate areas so it feels as though you are on a relatively small site. Good shopping in Battle. Good area for walks and cycle rides - we did both. Friendly and helpful wardens. Even the weather was reasonable for early April. WiFi apart what more could you ask for.

Great Site

Great site and staff. I had lost/misplaced my gas spanner, and was loaned one from the office (many thanks). Wi-Fi would have been handy with our granddaughter, but she survived.

Picturesque

We have never been to the area before so after a meeting with our friends this site was chosen by our teenage daughter which we ended up being thankful for as it turns out there is no Wifi on site & we couldn't be blamed as she had chosen it ! Luckily we had a dongle so her dad topped it up & homework/social media could continue & give our ears a rest . This site was lovely & it was nice that it had 2 toilet blocks so when one was being cleaned the other was open. We arrived after the storm luckily & enjoyed a relatively nice week with the weather. The teens enjoyed the nearby coastal towns of Hastings, Eastbourne, & Brighton while we enjoyed all the local walks & doing our hobby of geocaching. We would definately return as we felt we hadn't even scratched the surface of things to do.

Lovely site

Lovely site with very helpful and friendly staff.  The facilities are very clean.  Plenty of space between pitches. Have been to the site twice and certainly have no hesitation about booking to visit again.

Great family trip

Stayed over Easter 2016. 10 year old boy and 18m dog in tow. Son loved it, made friends and spent  time in play area and riding bikes. Dog loved the pub at end of the walk to Catsfield - leisurely 20 mind or so from site. Great pub grub and if go on Tues lunchtime of Friday evenjng all mains on menu a fiver! Really friendly staff too and dog biscuits on bar! Site staff welcoming and helpful and site kept clean and tidy dispite best efforts of storm Kate on Easter Sunday! If a dog owner, in addition to the pub try Tea by the Sea on Bexhill seafront under the pavilion.  Great little coffee and cake bar with views of the sea with dogs allowed inside. Great break and certainly somewhere to Base yourself for break on Kent/East Sussex coast.

Windy Easter

Despite 'Storm Katie' coming through just spent a relaxing Easter weekend at this lovely site. All facilities spotless and carefully maintained. The site has lots of interesting nooks and even on the more open areas you don't feel overlooked.

First of the season

We have just enjoyed a week at Battle and have not been disappointed.  A new team of wardens who were brilliant,  cheerful friendly greeting on arrival and throughout the rest of the week.   Facilities were lovely clean and warm with the added touch of music.   Battle is well situated to travel out and about,  the dogs do have to be on leads but a visit to Camber Sands gave him miles of beautiful sand to chase along.  This is a lovely site and because It is on three levels and has several secluded areas you never feel overlooked.  We will definitely be going back.  One small, detail because the entrance is on a bend the Caravan Club sign could be slightly larger other wise all round brilliant

Battled to find it - DO NOT USE SATNAV

Stayed 30th Oct - 1st Nov. 2015 with my wife and our dog. Take the advice in the book and do NOT use satnav as it dumps you in a back lane 1 mile away. Site is on 3 levels - we were on pich 126 which has a grass area to one side and behind. Dog walking not so good as our Border Collie likes to run and chase a ball - dogs have to be kept on a lead on the dog walking paths off site and there is no where you can thow a ball any distance. They cater well for children with a kiddies acitivity area that includes a small pitch with small goal posts. I would certainly recommend the site - especially if you have younger children.
