Fantastic site, great location, we will be back !

Fantastic site , it has excellent facilities which are spotless, we phoned a couple of weeks before we arrived to pre book a disabled pitch close to the facilities, the wardens saved us an excellent pitch. The site is near to the lovely town of battle, and we had a great walk on the 1066 trail. On arrival the wardens were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our short break here and will be going back before long.

Lovely place to stay

Stayed here a few times as local to us and will do again. The site is well kept with great staff. Pitches are good sized and level. Toilets are clean and with the added benefit of radio. The 1066 way is close by and offers a lovely walk to Catsfield and The White Hart, good pub with good food. Battle is not far for shops and the abbey is worth a visit. Hope this helps.

Lovely site

We love visiting this lovely site but disappointed to see all the litter left in the playground by young children whose parents allow them to just throw it on the ground. Maybe a nearby litter bin ?

Excellent site

We stayed on this site for two nights. The showers and toilets were spotlessly clean, heated and even had music playing! The site is well maintained and clean. I definitely will return!

A fabulous site

Our first time on this site but definitely not our last. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and keep the site in an immaculate condition, even pipped music in the toilets. The site is full of history, and for those who are interested the wardens have a history file which they will lend you. The site is one of many glades and this gives lots of space between pitches and is also very quiet.

Good in places

This was our second visit to this campsite, he first was 4 years ago when we first got our camper. We had the choice of 2 pitches for a motorhome, and we chose the one nearest the toilet block as it was not on such a steep hill, I have a problem with my lungs and also with walking. What we hadn't realised was that pitch 22 was very close to the main road, Monday morning was quite noisy! There was also no 'street light' near the pitch, so at night, trying to dodge muddy pitches was not easy. Apart from that, we enjoyed our two nights there the toilet blocks were pretty clean considering the campsite was virtually full for the Saturday night. Most people were quiet, except for a couple of rigs whose owners were a little hard of hearing!

our first night in a motorhome

so we packed up our new motorhome and headed down the road for a 'dry run'. On arrival Richard and Kay took us through all the basics and within minutes the kettle was whistling away (when I remembered to turn the gas on). We arrived a little green, but left with a wealth of info, not just from the guys there, but our fellow travellers too. The site is lovely and has lots of quiet spots to park up. Its worth a walk around before deciding where to stop, as there are lots of little cul de sacs to choose from. Super clean, great facilities and a site of wonderful history. We enjoyed our first short trip and cant wait to plan the next adventure. Terry & Amanda

Peaceful Battle

We went to this site to go to the medieval weekend nearby. The weather was glorious which is always a bonus. We visited Hastings and Rye which were very busy as it was a bank holiday weekend and only to be e expected. We enjoyed going to Rudyard Kiplings house nearby and other national trust properties. The dog walk opening out onto the Battle Way was great .the facilities on the site were first class and the staff were friendly.definitely a site worth returning too

Historic location

So much history to the area and even inside the club site, if you look closely. Great site with nooks for all. So many choices of pitches. Play area for Abbey....... An in depth Tourer Explorer treasure hunt kept us going..... Lovely place and nice staff. Visit The Squirrel pub about a mile away for the best roast dinner......
