Beautiful Site

Stayed here for 2 nights ad had a great time. Reception and wardens where really helpful and happy. Gave some advice on the best pitches for me and my friends. Took 130 which was a grass pitch, level and firm. Showers, Toilets and all facilities all up to the normal high CC standard. Visited the Battle Brewery which is a must visit (if you like your beer, and has a great meal in the White Hart Inn is Catfield. We were originally booked in to the Squirrel inn, but the walk on the busy road would have been hazardous. The Walk to the White Hart was a pleasant country footpath (20 minutes )

Excellent site

The pitches vary quite a bit on this site, some are quite small, even though we have a small motorhome. However, we managed to find a good spot up the hill on the grass. Dog walk is good and en route to Catsfield, the nearest village, takes about half an hour, the White Hart pub serves good food and takes dogs. Battle Abbey is an excellent place to visit, lots of information, great for kids and they allow dogs in. Cafes in Battle are very quaint. Excellent place to visit.

Utter perfection

We have just spent the most idyllic week at Battle Normanhurst Court. It was our first visit but it most definitely will not be our last. From arrival to leaving, it has been the most fantastic week for all reasons. The Wardens have all been so helpful, informative, fun, obliging and nothing has been too much trouble. And as for the site? It is beautiful. So well laid out, so well maintained, so well looked after in all respects. And so so peaceful. All you can hear is bird song. Almost fantastic site. And so much to do and see in this wonderful county. We were so sorry to have to leave.

Great weekend

Spent a weekend here at the end of march and it was great. Facilities as usual were spotless and the wardens at this site are very friendly

1st ever experience

We picked this site as only 10 miles away from us and it was our 1st time ever on a site. The staff were brilliant. On arrival we said we had never towed a caravan before or even been camping so complete novices. They could not have been more helpful especially Dave who saw us to the pitch and basically went through everything with us, thank you Dave. We went back two weekends later and just as friendly and helpful. I hope all the sites and staff are as good as this one. Probably a shame it was our 1st site ever as our expectation levels are now very high, fingers crossed !

1st Night Ever in Our VW California

We spent one night at the Norman Hurst Court site as a 'snagging' trip for our new VW California and DriveAway Awning. As complete beginners we found the staff members extremely helpful. They explained how we should park on the pitch and re-assured us that everyone had started as beginners. The whole site was exceptionally clean. The toilet block and showers were modern and spotless. Our pitch was in a small group of hard standing areas surrounded by grass and trees. The site consisted of secluded areas rather than lines of caravans and motorhomes parked in rows. After night-fall the site was unexpectedly quiet (almost silent apart from the odd Owl). For our first night this site has set the bar extremely high.

Peaceful site with friendly staff

We had a lovely stay at this peaceful site. The shower block was spotless and staff all friendly. Kevin was particularly helpful when my husband was asking him lots of questions about pitching up etc - he was new but certainly knew his stuff. Enjoyed watching the rabbits and a roaming pheasant. Walk to White Hart pub with £6.00 meals on Friday evening was excellent value and honest pub grub. Would definitely recommend.

Spring Break

This is a lovely site set in the grounds of a long ago demolished house, the wardens were friendly much better than the last site we visited. There are lots of nice National Trust Properties nearby which are worth a visit. The pub at Catsfield does excellent meals which are reasonably priced.

One of the Best

Just had a great break at this site, the grounds were well kept and the toilet blocks were always clean and tidy. The wardens were two of the best that I have come across with the CMC, keep up the good work
