one of the most beautiful sites

A beautifully landscaped site. Large but a feeling of space and privacy. 20 minute walk by public footpath to near by village with pub. Site has a well stocked shop. Would like a 'free run' dog walking area, having to keep a lead on in such a lovely area is a shame. Road outside the site is surprisingly noisy for such a rural location but wouldn't stop me revisiting maybe chose a pitch away from it next time. All in all a beautiful site.

Normanhurst Court

We were delighted we chose this site for a two week stay. The site is set out in lovely small groves with plenty of space and privacy. The facilities were excellent, spotlessly clean at all times. This site is ideally suited for visiting many of the seaside towns of East Sussex. We were so lucky we managed to visit the antiques road show and also the annual Hastings pirate day. We would highly recommend this site for your visit to East Sussex and look forward to our next visit.

The best site we have been to

Beautiful caravan park, facilities were immaculate all times of day. Lovely areas and you can choose your own pitch. Fantastic pub The Squirrel Inn just up the road, few minutes drive. The staff were really helpful and we would return again happily, we have already recommended the site to friends. Lovely to see the rabbits about evenings and early morning.

Usual Club standards

We spent a pleasant few days here - site & facilities very clean, neat & tidy - as is the norm in my experience of Club sites. The big advantage of this site is that there are lots of little cul-de-sacs which take a few outfits - so very few serried rows of vans. Given lots of choice of pitches & were able to select a really quiet one - at the end of a cul-de-sac, (Less opportunity to people watch, however!) Doesnt feel a big site. Down sides - many pitches do have a slope - but it does say that in the book - so we were not surprised. There is also a lack of public transport - so we had to drive in to Battle and park the motorhome (Market square car park has no height barrier, & I think you can also park in the Abbey car park)

One of the best Club sites we have visited in 45 years of being members

A delightful site, wardens that surpassed the high standards of other sites, big big pitches, well layed out , while the site is big, the tiering and trees make it feel smaller, two toilet blocks that are modern, one at the top the other at the bottom of the site . If you are moderately fit there is a great walk to the nearest pub through woodland on a gravel track, this does great food and beer at moderate prices, it takes about 30/40 minutes to walk and the wardens can give you clear and easy directions, those who would find this difficult, the drive is about 12/15 minutes by a longer route . We tend to rarely revisit an area, but the country side and the outstanding site make it tempting to change our habit and revisit this site. The only downside we can see is that TV reception does need a bit of fine tuning, which we achieved after a few minutes, but the many upsides outweigh this.

Back for our 3rd time!

3 visits within a couple of months will indicate just how good this site is! Firstly all the staff were friendly, welcoming & couldn't do more to make our stay any better. Immaculate facilities, well laid out pitches, all in pristine condition. Nice walk to the local pub in Catsfield which takes about 40 minutes. Nearby Battle & Hastings might be worth a visit. All in all would highly recommend!

Delightful Site

1st visit and unfortunately only for 2 nights. This is a beautiful site, full of trees and wildlife and unusually laid out. Found it to be very quiet in early June. Facilities spotless and Wardens friendly and helpful. Plenty to visit in local area, so really recommend this site.

Beautiful Site

Stayed here for 2 nights ad had a great time. Reception and wardens where really helpful and happy. Gave some advice on the best pitches for me and my friends. Took 130 which was a grass pitch, level and firm. Showers, Toilets and all facilities all up to the normal high CC standard. Visited the Battle Brewery which is a must visit (if you like your beer, and has a great meal in the White Hart Inn is Catfield. We were originally booked in to the Squirrel inn, but the walk on the busy road would have been hazardous. The Walk to the White Hart was a pleasant country footpath (20 minutes )

Excellent site

The pitches vary quite a bit on this site, some are quite small, even though we have a small motorhome. However, we managed to find a good spot up the hill on the grass. Dog walk is good and en route to Catsfield, the nearest village, takes about half an hour, the White Hart pub serves good food and takes dogs. Battle Abbey is an excellent place to visit, lots of information, great for kids and they allow dogs in. Cafes in Battle are very quaint. Excellent place to visit.
