Great site but please apply and follow the rules.

One of our favourite sites as we have family in the City. Also the magic door at the back transports you straight onto the Wharf. However on a small site like Baltic Wharf it is quite important that everyone parks their car on the same side of their caravan. One guy with a huge pickup insisted on parking in front of their caravan reducing the clearance for others towing. He saved his proper parking space for the family car of relatives. Wardens did warn him for having more than one car parked but not for parking the tow-car in accordance with the Club Rules. However we found the Wardens polite and friendly, we will be back.

Try saying hello?

Loved the site, as always. However, on arrival, it would be so much nicer to be greeted with a smile and simple "hello, welcome to Baltic Wharf" or suchlike, rather than the cursory "name?". Everyone has good and bad days, but for all of us that work in customer facing roles, basic good manners are a requisite for the job.

Really could do with being more friendly

I've stayed here several times now and apart from the last visit it's not felt like you're very welcome to be honest. This time it was particularly bad. I think they probably prefer it if you have a 35k motor home . To be brutally honest this time it felt like they thought they were doing me a favour allowing me to be a customer.  The site itself is amazing, great location, spotlessly clean, good facilities it's just let down by its customer service. One warden was very smiley and polite but the other one was plain rude.

I'll be back because of the location and I come to Bristol often for work and to visit family. I'll just have to remember they're not exactly overjoyed to see people.

Stop over

Stopped with our 13 year old grand daughter on the way to Cornwall for 3 nights - all agreed we need to visit again. She loved it - great to hear from a "teenager". So much to see and wasn't "bored".

ANOTHER BRILLIANT VISIT

Just back from 4 nights to incorporate the Balloon Fiesta.  Can't rate this site highly enough.  Even though the site was totally full and the surrounding areas were thronging with noise, we still had a fabulous time.  The whole area around this site has something for everyone and the vibrancy of Bristol as a city is fantastic.  The balloons (when they eventually appeared!) were spectacular, the site is beautifully kept and you couldn't wish for a better situation directly out to the beautiful waterfront.  You just can't beat it - and long may it last!

Great city great site

Just back from another stay at Baltic Wharf. A couple of years ago we thought we would lose it but they are still hanging on. Special mention for the wardens this time very accommodating and helpful even in Balloon Fiesta week and it doesn't get much busier. It is small and you will be lucky to get an awning pitch but it's great for access to the city and that more than makes up for the road noise and size.

Plenty to explore

Stayed for 4 nights, lovely surprise when going out the gate and being right by the river and harbour. So much to see and do, did not use campervan to go anywhere for 2 days, walking into town centre, ride on the ferry. Yes there is a bit of traffic noise but hey site is in the city. We did venture out to Clevedon and had a walk along the pier which has been renovated. Would definitely come again to site

Wonderful City Site

We have been coming here for years and still love it. The back gate out onto the river is a real bonus. Some days we walk into the city centre others we get the water taxi (with CC discount) There is always something to do in Bristol and my two boys love it, ZaZa Bazaar is a must visit restaurant where everyone gets to eat what they prefer. This is not always easy with teenage boys. We will be back again of course.
