Short break

Hi we stayed here for a week to explore the theme parks and London City via tube. The pitches are fine leaving plenty of space between vans. We used the toddler room and the water was only just warm not very nice for your young one as we topped up with our own hot water. We like this site very much and going back again in winter for the sights in London

A lovely start

This was our first visit to a club site and we were very impressed. We stayed for two nights and were given a lovely pitch. Staff very helpful, facilities clean and the site is very well kept overall. Ensure you use the directions in the club book and not the sat nav....they work, the alternative route is very tight without a tourer attached. We couldn't connect to the wifi and the farmer in the neighbouring land chose the bank holiday weekend to fertilise his fields but we will be back! I hope all the club sites are as good as this.

Good site

Stayed here for one night (5/8/15) as a stopover en route from dover, great site, very clean, usual refinements of club site, would recommend this site. Only downside is the narrow lanes to get to it, apart from that, perfect and great for visiting london

Kiss Goodbye to the WiFi when it's Raining....

I've stayed here a number of times, usually overnight stops on my way out of London. I've no quibble at all with the facilities, pitches, etc, all excellent. However, on my last stay the WiFi went down and when I went up to the office to enquire was told it was likely because of the rain; they then offered to give me the number of the WiFi company so I could call and complain in person. Now, if the water went off or the electrics on site blew surely they wouldn't expect me to call the relevant company? There's obviously a problem with the WiFi on this site as I've never had problems with connectivity before on CC sites, rain or not... and it's the warden's job to sort it, not mine. Having said all that, this is a lovely site in a lovely area and I hope to stay again!

aug BH trip

We used this site as a base to attend a family party on saturday and explore Hampton Court Palace on sunday. Accessing the site was a little daunting from M25 as you have to go down the road to the next roundabout to come back the other way, whilst your sat nav is telling you to cross the traffic to go up a lane. DO NOT use your sat nav for the final bit as it tries to take you up a lane by Costa Coffee which is just not suitable for caravans, follow the CC instructions they really are the best option.  The site was much bigger than expected but so quiet at night and we never heard any noise from road traffic, just the odd plane. The wash blocks are in need of modernisation but are clean and tidy. However there were only 4 female showers in the block we used so be prepared to queue if you are a morning shower person or maybe used your onboard facilities. My tips are; don't forget to pick up your Barrier card when booking in and check you know the reverse journey back to M25 as our sat nav wanted to take us a very strange way. All in all a lovely site and we hope to come back.

Local site

This site is 15 minutes from home but whilst spending 5 days here in very wet weather it felt like a break from the hum drum of life. My daughter was able to have a different friend stay each night. The children love the freedom as this is a safe site for children. Each year we enjoy a mini break here and yet so close to home.  Wardens are helpful and friendly. Site is looked after and a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.

Lovely Site

Have stayed at this site many times as it is close to our family living in Surrey and we are in Dorset. Always very friendly, helpful and very clean.

Relaxing but some tired facilities

Always enjoy a short stay at Alderstead, typically a weekend for us. Good size pitches and staff are always keeping busy across the site. I suspect as we approach the end of the summer season the Club has to decide on where it's planning to spend it's money with respect to site improvements etc. So please consider a refurbishment of the Alderstead toilet blocks - they really need it compared to others in the South East such as Daleacres, Fairlight, Littlehampton which are all superb - it's time for Alderstead to get the treatment.

Lovely spot!

Stay here quite regularly as a base to visit family in Epsom. Always busy but peaceful (except for the unavoidable noise from road resurfacing on the site this time) and well kept. The Downlands Way circular walk from the site is a gem with a couple of pubs conveniently situated for refreshment. The only drawback is the convoluted access route from the M25. If only they would widen Dean Lane it would make it so much easier.
