Dear all,
we have stayed on this site twice on our summerholidays in England this year. And for both visits, we were pleasently surprised by the staff as well as the other guests from the site. Of course it would be easy to talk airtraffic, but hey, you are so close to London. We will definitly keep this site in mind for our next trip to England.
late september stay.
If you approach the site anticlockwise on m25 exit junction 8 and take the third exit then left signpost Mertsham onto Gatton lane?. Travel a couple of miles then beneath m25 and turn left onto A23. Take 2nd right into Shephards Hill (curry house on corner) Up the hill and left into Dean lane site 100yds on right. This will save you 20 mins and several u necessary miles. Great site . A lot of workers also using site but who can blame them with the extortionate accommodation costs in London. Very clean facilities. Friendly wardens.
Is this a caravan club site?
Been to this site quite a few times and was shocked how many people are
Actually living on site. Is that the new caravan club policy? To turn our site into residential caravan parks.this site has always stored caravans but most
hard standing was taken up by residents. Will not be returning

Well worth a visit
the site is well laid out with lots of space. Everything worked on site and my wife and I enjoyed our 3 night stay. Access to the site isn't good once the motorway network has been left and printed directions for both entering and in particular leaving the site would be helpful. The problem is the close access road to the site which the sat nav prefers cannot be used eitherway

A great weekend away.
This is a well appointed site with excellent facilities and very well looked after. The wardens are very helpful and knowledgeable about the local attractions. Exiting the site to get back on to the M23 could be made a lot easier if you could turn right out of the site. I would highly recommend it and am very likely to be going back in the future.
Lovely Clean Site
We visited this site on 20 Sept 2015 and it was our very first experience having only just bought our motor home.
We were coming here as my partner had a driving experience booked at Mercedes World so an ideal opportunity to book for 1 night and try out.
I have little to compare to however the site, being in Surrey, is not exactly a rural retreat but was out in the countryside and very pleasant.
It seemed well laid out, extremely clean and tidy everywhere and good shower/washing facilities, again very clean.
We did not have the chance to check out the local area as arrived quite late and left quite early.
I have one criticism of the experience, and that was the welcome. Frosty is probably a polite way to describe it. I would be more inclined to the lady in question to say, if you hate your job, do something else! I know everyone has off days, but when you are dealing with the public day in and day out, you have to put a smile on your face whatever and be helpful. I do not expect, when we were leaving and trying to find someone to leave the barrier pass with, someone to bark through a closed door that they are not open and then gave instructions through the still closed door. Rude.
Anyway, I would return if I needed a place to stay down there in the future, but there are many many more places for us to visit first.
Just to say the rating I have given is because of the quality and cleanliness of the facilities nothing else.
second visit to a great site
Visited in 2014 for a week for the first time, so decided to return for a few days this year. On both occasions were given a great friendly welcome by the wardens. All the facilities are clean and well looked after. The only negatives - which are not the fault of the wardens or Caravan Club, is the lack of mobile phone reception and access from the bottom end of Dean Lane .... don't let your SAT NAV take you up the Lane you'll regret it. The site is ideally placed for exploring Surrey and the south coast. Straight down the M23 and in no time you're in Brighton or along the coast to Lewes or Beachy Head. Don't forget a visit to the excellent Bluebell Steam Railway. There's so much to do in this part of the world you could easily spend 2 weeks and never be bored.

Try harder
This is our third visit do generally a good site but
gents toilet block needs refurbishment - loo seats loose and difficulty in flushing. Also box for gate cards when leaving is missing. Please consider later check in times (for site not just late arrival area- say 2130 (can get held up in awful M25 traffic). On above form should be able to leave out family (if that means children) rating if these faculties not used

Nice site
Though a bit awkward to get to I think this site is well worth a visit. We found it pleasant and quiet for early Sept. We felt the disabled wash room could do with a little sprucing up but other than that it was fine. The staff were very helpful, the dog walking was good as it was right on the entrance and it was easy to catch a bus in the same place. All in all we would have no worries about going back again
excellent site
Stayed 5 nights last week. Great site with excellent facilities ,wi-fi was down but thats not the wardens fault who kept the site and toilet blocks clean.
10 minutes in the car to oulsden south station and 30 minutes by train to London bridge.30 minutes to chartwell and RHS Wisley.
On the site the pitches were well spaced and didnt ffel ontop of other caravans. Laundry room and well stocked information area.We got the directions from this page and it took us up Dean Lane from starbucks cafe which is wrong so dont follow caravan club directions for sat nav until it changes they were going to report it to the caravan club follow instructions from the handbook.
Overall great site and will definately return .
