we have just spent 4 nights here, our aim to visit London. We found a very nice welcome awaiting us, we had a choice of pitches . The pitches were well spaced with a feeling of privacy. The toilets and showers were spotless and plentiful. As soon as we pitched up we felt at home. and at peace. We found getting to London easy , a 10 minute walk to the train station. We have 2 together rail passes and the ticket price for a day rail.tube, and bus was £15.80 for both of us. We have bus passes, and to go to Greenwich it is easier and more convientent by bus. the 180 5 minute walk away takes you there. I would recommend this site to anyone. Can't wait to return
could not be better - great wardens !
this is perfect - we did tourist sites for 3 days and this is perfect to travel with bus or train - what makes it perfect it v v clean facalities and the best wardens ever - thank you !

Excellent site
We have stayed at this site twice now and would highly recommend it. It is clean, green and the wardens are friendly. Short walk to the train station, however if you want just the tube rather than mainline, it's a short drive to Woolwich where you can jump straight on tube or DLR.
VERY CONVENIENT SITE
We much enjoyed our four nights at Abbey Wood. All facilities with the exception of the dog run were excellent. Maybe a little more space could be found for this very important aspect of many campers lives.
Great jewel of a site in urban jungle
Had a great stay for 8 nights. Wardens helpful, site very tidy and clean, staff smiley and professional. The pitches were generous and well kept, some with slopes, so take chocks. Handy for central London and local amenities nearby. Only downside is wifi poor and dodgy. But would definitely go back.
Excellent site
Friendly, helpful wardens, attractive leafy site, very clean site and facilities, wildlife (!), highly recommended. Sainsbury's supermarket is less than 5 mins drive away. I'd say the walk to the train station is more like 10 mins, especially coming home as it's uphill, but very doable. No complaints at all about this site other than my usual caravan club site moan that I wish there were more fully serviced pitches. But this site makes up for that in every other way. Highly recommended.

Great site near the centre of London
Great site, well kept, clean and ideal for central London, just a 5 minute walk from overground train station. The wardens are efficient and helpful but a bit tight with the London maps - we had 2 families but they would only give us 1 map! Greta facilities and brilliant to see the parakeets, squirrels and foxes, although our camping French friends were victim of a brioche squirrel burglary, who ate through their plastic folding container to get to it! Be warned!!! ;) Highly recommended site.
Wonderful Stay in London
Our last stay during our holiday in Sout-England was this wonderful Camp-Site near London. It is a very good location for visiting London. From the railway station nearby it is only half an hour to London City. The Camp-site itself is a wonderful place. Always clean and well cared. The wardens a very friendly und helpful. We loved this place and can recommend it to for a trip to London.

First time to London
Having travelled down from the west coast of scotalnd we stayed for two weeks at this site and ventured every day into london to see all the sites. Oyster card is ideal. Site was peaceful and well maintained. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Pleasant stay at Abbey Wood
Because we wanted a few days in London with our Grandchildren we chose to stay on the Abbey Wood site. We usually stay on CL’s as we much prefer the peace and quiet but were pleasantly surprised at Abbey Wood, there is plenty of room, and the facilities are second to none and spotlessly clean. The staff are very pleasant and friendly with a solid willingness to help.
The site was very busy with people walking around but there was no noise and no problems sleeping.
It is a pleasant ten minute walk to the railway station and the trains into London run frequently, buy a visitors Oyster card for cheaper fares.
