Lovely site. Best in London

Love Abbey Wood site.  It has everything you need and is an oasis of calm in a busy city suburb, Just booked to return for a couple of nights. Just perfect for us.

Strimming around the caravan

Second time at Abbey Wood, still a clean & tidy site in a lovely tree lined site which blocks out the surrounding environment. Great location to grab the train and hit the sites, we came down for the Barbarian v Samoa game at the Olympic Stadium. We were upset to have the caravan showered with debris by one of the staff who was strimming way to close to the caravan. He stopped and moved on after we protested.

London Escape

Just the location for local rail station to tower Bridge etc- we used the railway 3 day travel card. You could use it all day on under ground as well. Only drawback was no eating in cafes near at the end of day but there are take aways within walking distance. I would stay here again

Road trip

We used abbey wood as a Base to visit the city, and found the staff very helpful  the facilities were very clean and we'll laid out, the weather was not to our likeing but rain is rain.  Overall we would highly recommended Abbey wood, the station is close by and the trains were frequent,  well frequented by our European friends, we enjoyed watching squirrels dashing up and down  the trees, we were warned not to leave food in the awning and to watch out for foxes that liked pinching shoes.  Book up early to avoid disappointment.

Nice and to be loved place for London Visitors

We had 5 very nice days on a pleasant, quiet and very clean place. The facilities were very adequate and clean every time. Public transport is very easy to reach and we would definitely come back.

I loved this site

we have just spent 4 nights here, our aim to visit London. We found a very nice welcome awaiting us, we had a choice of pitches . The pitches were well spaced with a feeling of privacy. The toilets and showers were spotless and plentiful. As soon as we pitched up we felt at home. and at peace. We found getting to London easy , a 10 minute walk to the train station. We have 2 together rail passes and the ticket price for a day rail.tube, and bus was £15.80 for both of us. We have bus passes, and to go to Greenwich it is easier and more convientent  by bus. the 180 5 minute walk away takes you there. I would recommend this site to anyone. Can't wait to return

Excellent site

We have stayed at this site twice now and would highly recommend it. It is clean, green and the wardens are friendly. Short walk to the train station, however if you want just the tube rather than mainline, it's a short drive to Woolwich where you can jump straight on tube or DLR.

VERY CONVENIENT SITE

We much enjoyed our four nights at Abbey Wood. All facilities with the exception of the dog run were excellent. Maybe a little more space could be found for this very important aspect of many campers lives.

Great jewel of a site in urban jungle

Had a great stay for 8 nights. Wardens helpful, site very tidy and clean, staff smiley and professional. The pitches were generous and well kept, some with slopes, so take chocks. Handy for central London and local amenities nearby.  Only downside is wifi poor and dodgy. But would definitely go back.
