Peace in the City

The most friendly welcome at a Club site in over 30 years. No jobs worth, just perfect. Christmas eve arrival and such a great start. All "wardens" should sample this site to learn... Pitches spacious, and landscaping makes it feel cosy for a big site. Great site, location perfect for London. £1.50 on the bus to Greenwich. Like a country garden, not a London suburb. Of course once out of the gates, welcome to the metropolis, noise and bustle.  Facilities kept spotless over Christmas. Well done to the whole site team, thanks. Already booked for return visits...

London visit

You enter an oasis of greenery amid the flats and semis at Abbey Wood. Ideally placed for an overground train into Canon Street, cost under £18 return for 2. The site is good for bird watching, especially green parrots! They are not quiet though. Good size pitches and excellent facilities on site. The staff at reception are very helpful. The site is perfectly placed for a visit into London to take in a show. For somewhere different get off at Greenwich and have a look at the Cutty Sark as well as the park.

Exceeded Expectations

Knowing the area from 50years ago we were not expecting much,, What a pleasant surprise beautifully kept site in a woodland setting. Train Station 10 min walk away then regular trains into the centre of London, No Gestapo Wardens here just very nice and friendly people. Will defiantly stop again when in the area

Just the job for the Christmas shopping

We stayed at Crystal Palace last year but decided to try Abby Wood this time and I'm glad we did. This site suited us almost perfectly for our trips into the big shopping centres. Just one moan, the wi-fi is rubbish! Good thing it's not a priority with us but would be nice if it worked as well as most of those at independent sites. Which, incidently, are also mostly free.

Our favourite Club site

This site is always, immaculately kept and the staff always welcoming and helpful. Site location is very easy to find from M25 and close to the station to get into the west end. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Great base for London

Stayed for 3 nights as a base for visiting London. Friendly helpful wardens and excellent clean facilities and grounds. The suggested train/riverboat cruise from Greenwich was a great idea and Greenwich was a lovely place to visit -less hectic than the city! Train station within a 5-6 minute walk and then a pleasant 30min journey into Charing Cross. After much research (Oyster/Travel pass etc) we chose contactless payment for train transport ; a daily adult return with no concessions was only £5.40. Perhaps if you are visiting paid attractions then a travel card would get you '2 for 1 deals' but as we weren't I  recommend the contactless route. A great site with a warm welcome.

wonderful stay

We had a great stay here. it's a lovely clean and tidy site, and considering where it is, very easy to find as long as you use the old fashioned approach with club instructions and sign posts.....!! It was lovely and quiet, the showers and loos where really clean and well maintained.  The managers were really kind, helpful and funny.  really easy to get into London, so just perfect.

A really lovely site

Abbey Wood is a super site, perfect for visiting London. All the facilities are clean and tidy and the site staff are friendly and helpful. Located close to Abbey Wood railway station, a day in London is very easy. My wife and I had a great time at this site.

An Oasis in the smoke

When you first drive into Abbey Wood its like a oasis you would think that you are in a forest not in a part of London I have been three times now and I am always amazed when I turn into the site squirrels running around peace and quiet and a short walk to the train station to get to the hustle and bustle of the smoke I cannot recommend this site enough
