CL GEM THAT BEGS TO BE USED
Following ClubFest 2024, my families' three units (2 caravans/1 motorhome) visited this absolutely beautiful CL in accordance with a pre-booking. It is important to follow the Handbook directions to the CL as approach roads to the CL are narrow in places. Having arrived at the CL, access from the road is no problem (we had two double axle caravans) and there are CCTV cameras at the access point which will act as a deterrent and also help to protect the property from unauthorised persons entering the CL. Upon arrival, we were each given a very warm welcome by CL owner Brian who handed to each of us a comprehensive pack of local places to visit and a map, Brian having very kindly allocated us the three hard-standing pitches next to each other. The photographs on the website relating to this already tell their own story - that of a spacious, natural, very well kept, attractive rural CL ideally located to visit many amenities. The open views across the countryside were a bonus as was the tranquility of the site. We were very pleasantly surprised that each of us had our own small grey disposal small drain in the ground from which we were able to pipe the water and also there are ample connections on the water taps to facilitate running a hose from them to the aquaroll. The Elson is conveniently located and of good quality. The site owner is very personable and helpful, visiting the site most days from his adjoining home to check that we were enjoying our stay and to deal with any problems. There are ample re-cycling facilities for waste. Whilst the site was full during our stay, the CL owner commented that so far business had been very slow during 2024 - possibly due to the current Cost of Living Crisis - and so based upon our own recent personal experience (and 52 years CAMC membership) we can highly recommend to everyone to this CL - it really is a gem that begs to be used more! You know what they say: "Use it or lose it" and it would be dreadful to lose this from our CAMC's CL network. With much appreciation to owner Brian who can be proud of his achievements in having established this CL - he is very worth supporting! As Members, let's support him more !
Great Little CL
Stayed recently at Wrekin View. What a lovely site. Brian and Josie are such a lovely couple, happy to help in anyway but not intrusive. A really peaceful site with the added bonus of a field next door which our dogs walked round every evening. We enjoy walking and did various routes from the site ( we didn't use our car at all, but there are loads of places to visit, we just were happy to relax on site). Had fish and chips takeaway from local pub (5 minute walk) on Friday. Fully serviced pitches and great views.. What more could you want?

Beautiful and peaceful stay!
This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying with Brian & Josie. This site is so peaceful, welcoming and transports you to another level of calm. Just what the doctor ordered! Our little dog was so happy with the surrounding walks and off lead public areas situated a short walk behind the caravan site. Brian and Josie are so friendly and on hand to offer any tips and advice you might need. A gorgeous walk to the local village pub, which was also welcoming and homely. Lovely camping neighbours but also felt like we were alone also. Stunning views of the Wrekin. We can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for some R&R away from it all, then this is your place. We were self sufficient, but were advised that there was a supermarket ten min drive away.
A CL asit should be and a firm local favourite!
We have stayed here at Wrekin View several times over the last couple of years. Brian and Josie work tirelessly to keep the site looking well kept and are very welcoming every visit.
Fully serviced pitches, slightly sloping but levelling blocks available if you don't carry your own. Beautiful views of The Wrekin and lots of different birds visit the site. Our Collie loves the field next door to let of steam. Just be aware though that horse riders cut across it too. Lots to do in the area Attingham Park is one of our favourites being just a short drive away.
Fabulous CL
This was our first stay on a CL and it did not disappoint. Fully serviced pitches, wonderful view and peace and quiet (adults only) The owner, Brian, checked we were ok every day and suggested plenty of walks and places to drive to and eat. It’s only a few miles from Shrewsbury, a fab market town with plenty going on!
We will definitely return and CLs are the way forward for us!
One of the very best
I've been staying at Wrekin View, almost since it opened, and have just returned from spending a wonderful week there.
Brian and Josie treat us like family and always have done from word go. They are two of the nicest people you could hope to meet.
Every pitch has a wonderful view and its own water supply, together with a waste soakaway, making your stay easier. The grounds are immaculate, Brian is around every day doing one job or another and Josie is not far behind. I have never had a problem with the electric supply here. The Elsan is in the centre of the pitches, and is one of the easiest to use I have come across. For those who have dogs, there is a walk right behind the site/ The village pub is a short walk away and does food on Fridays, You have to pre order the day before. I can recommend the fish and chips and my wife likewise the Scampi.
The site is 6 miles from Shrewsbury Town centre. Major supermarkets are nearby. Salop Leisure, a major caravan dealer is even closer, for anything you might need.
I cannot speak too highly about the site and the wonderful welcome you receive. As my title states it is up there as one of the best.
