We had a marvellous weekend at Brian and Josie’s Wrekin View CL. Wonderfully maintained site just outside the village of Withington. We have a motorhome so once we are parked up we walk everywhere. Wrekin View is ideal, for this. We walked into Withington (5 minutes) to the recently refurbished Hare and Hounds, great real ale and really good service. We were told that they are not yet doing food, but will do as soon as they get the kitchen sorted out. Wrekin View is just off the Shropshire way long distance foot path. So we also made full use of this. There is a footpath next to the site leading up to the Shropshire Way (Brian can direct you). We followed this, over Haughmond Hill, to the ruins of Haughmond Abbey, a very picturesque walk. The abbey is run by English Heritage, but is free to get in. Well worthwhile. You can also follow the Shropshire Way to the Haugmond Arms in the nearby village of Upton Magna. We would also recommend this. Nice food, and great staff. Upton Magna’s claim to fame is having the oldest, still standing and inhabited, cottage in Europe (dating back to 1269). Its located next to the church. Upton Magna is also where the chains for the Menai and Conway suspension bridges were made, although the forge is no longer in existence. Great weekend, many thanks Brain and Josie.
Lovely CL with super views of Wrekin Hill
Very quick email response times from Brian. I was a bit nervous taking the caravan with 2 other girl friends and was a bit concerned about parking and flooding etc
I didn't need to worry Brian suggested a great plan so I didn't need to reverse the caravan on soft ground. Lovely peaceful weekend with my friends including a lovely walk up Wrekin Hill
Thank you Brian we will be back xx Jane
What a lovely spot in Shropshire!
Wrekin View is a real gem. We have stayed a few times and each time have received a warm welcome from Brian and Josie.
Each pitch has 16amp electric hook up and water and grey waste, the site is very peaceful, well maintained and has superb views.
There is lots to see and do and Brian provides a brilliant information pack and has a wealth of knowledge of the area and things to see and do, whatever your interests.
We will be revisiting in the near future.
Oasis of calm with outstanding service.
Wrekin View is a lovely, quiet, secluded site but still has easy access to historic Shrewsbury and the commercial centres of Telford within 20 minutes' drive.
The site is beautifully maintained and immaculate, with the village of Withington only 10 minutes walk away. Unfortunately the pub was closed for refurbishment while we were here but we're looking forward to trying it on our next visit.
The service Brian provides is nothing short of outstanding. He is a genuinely lovely human and couldn't do enough for us. Brian - thank you so much for all your help, we look forward to staying at your lovely site again.
Wrekin View
Stayed here for 4 nights, a beautiful tranquil place to stay, lovely views of the countryside, this site is well maintained with good size fully serviced pitches & a few fruit trees, flower tubs & the beautiful scent of Roses.
Daily visits from the friendly cheeky robin.
Brian & Josie are very welcoming & have so much information & booklets to hand.
All you need is a few good bottles of wine & a few good books.
Local pubs in near by villages.
We cycled into shewsbury town along the old canal & it took about an hour each way,
Plenty to see & places to visit.
Will definitely be returning.

Gorgeous!
We absolutely loved this site. Beautiful countryside, lovely views, well kept and very quiet. Brian the owner is lovely and very accommodating. Can’t wait to return
Lovely Peaceful Site
Just spent a week here and was so impressed I’ve decided to leave a review.
It’s perfect for a quiet, relaxing stay with outstanding views of the surrounding area.
Very well maintained by Brian who has a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area and places to visit. He is genuinely a really nice chap.
Will definitely visit again and would highly recommend to others.
Super little site
Super little site, each pitch is plenty large enough. Brian popped by to say hello and advise us of the area although sadly we only had 1 night as we were on our way to Chester. Weather was beautiful therefore the views are stunning. 10 minute stroll to local village pub Hare and Hounds which was extremely welcoming although closing for refurbishment which the locals appear pleased with.
Give it a go.. what a find!!

Perfect for lovers of quiet, scenic CLs
Our third visit here and cannot fault anything. Pitches are spacious, slightly sloping but well drained and firm ground.
Narrow single track lanes approaches but with plenty of passing places. Great access to loads of interesting places, incl NT and EH, as well as towns and villages.
The site does indeed have views of the Wrekin, the nearby village and surrounding fields. Beautiful area of Shropshire.
Brian keeps the site immaculate with well trimmed grass, neat hedges and potted flowers in season. Tidy CDP and recycling area. Quirky collected items add to the interest.
