Nice campsite

This is a lovely campsite well located for nearby attractions. Unfortunately the nearest super market is about 14 miles away. The pitches are a bit sloping can make levelling a bit difficult. This site does indicate that wifi is available but is clearly not. We did telephone before hand to confirm this as we were relying it . We were told it was a bit intermittent but basically it is non existent It would be fairer to not advertise wifi at all as clearly does not work. There is a nice swimming pool with hot tub .2-3 pounds for a day usage. There are two wash rooms toilets which are kept very clean one shower.

A fantastic CL site.

We loved this site. Plenty of space for the kids to run around, grass well maintained and fantastic countryside views with the sea in the distance. The indoor pool and hot tub were also a great bonus as the weather was changeable to say the least when we stayed. The shower and toilets were kept in excellent condition and there was plenty of hot water. We hope to return next year.

Pleasant and well located

The site has easy access and the approach road is wide enough not to cause any concerns. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming. This is a small CL with toilet/shower block, which were very clean, a swimming pool with hot tub, nominal charge made. The site runs along side quite a busy B road so expect some road traffic noise especially if you pitch along side the hedge backing onto the road.Levelling blocks are needed on some pitches the grass was cut but not gathered which ment that grass was constantly walked into the caravan, even though we did wipe our feet! It is a good centre for visiting the area and a short drive to Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac. During our visit, four nights, there were more than five caravans on site, seven at one point, on more than one occasion. Caravans were allowed to arrive the night before someone was due to leave the following day so increasing the caravans on site beyond five by the number leaving the following day.

Nice site

Stayed here in order to visit Boscastle. A very warm welcome from the owners and we were shown the pool and hot tub. Site is well kept and reasonably level. Thank-you we will return.

Lovely site

Pleasant, peaceful site. Easy to get to. Owners friendly and helpful. Grass well cut and toilets and shower kept beautifully clean and tidy. Great location for North Cornwall attractions.

2nd year running

We returned to Venndown farmhouse this year for 2 weeks, and again had a great time. Weather a bit dodgy the first week, but having the swimming pool open this year kept the kids happy! This is one of the cleanest and well kept CL's you will find, and is highly recommended.

Popular, excellent CL

Just spent 4 nights at Venndown Farm which is an excellent CL. In a great location close to Tintagel and Boscastle but also a short drive to Bude and Newquay. The site is easy to find and close to the road. It's a compact site and very popular with good facilities. The shower/toilet block was excellent and the charge for the shower is well worth it after a day in the surf! The site is high up and may be exposed to strong winds so take some good strong pegs for awnings - but it's well worth it. Will visit again.

Lovely CL

We had a lovely time staying on this CL from 15th - 29th August 2016. Well kept site with spotless shower and toilets. Lots of walks from site and plenty of places to visit. Hopefully we'll be back.

Perfect CL

We spent 8 nights at this lovely CL in July. We had a friendly welcome from Camilla and had the choice of how we wanted to site our van. The site is imaculate, it is slightly sloping but this was not a problem for us. The toilets and shower are spotless. We could pick up Wi Fi which was an advantage. The site is well situated for the coast, Tintagel and Bocastle also Bodmin Moor. There is a Coop in Camelford for supplies. There are plenty of places to eat in both Boscastle and Tintagel. We hope to return before too long.

Lovely site in good location

Let me say to start off that although we have only rated this site 4* for overall rating and peace and tranquility it would be 4.8 if we could give that. Only two minor problems are that it is sloping and adjoins a main road and our long van was quite difficult to site on the slope. However now I know the owner does not mind at what angle you site your van it will not be a problem in the future. We hardly noticed the traffic as it is hidden by high Cornish banks. It is however beautifully maintained and the WC's and shower is kept spotless. The owners were very friendly and helpful and it was great to find two lovely old bay mares in the field behind our pitch. Even though it is only a 5 van CL they have 9 pitches and electric hook ups so there is always plenty of space with views over the fields to the sea about 2 miles away. Loads to do and see in the area and if you are into visiting Churches then Boscastles Minster Church is worth seeking out, a real gem in a most unusual location.
