Finding Merlin near Tintagel
We booked Venndown Farm just days before we planned to stay for one night prior to visiting Tintagel Castle. Jacky assured us there was room and no need for a deposit as we were only here for the night. We approached the farm via Boscastle which is very pretty but we were pleased it was not the height of summer as it is a steep descent into and climb out of the village with windy, narrow lanes. The farm is easy to find and entrance good for a large MoHo. There was a sign allocating our pitch and before we had levelled Jacky was there to welcome us and explain the facilities.
Our pitch was on grass but only needed slight ramp adjustment to level. We parked parallel to the road on the other side of the hedge. Very quiet at night though some light traffic from about 7am. There is a shower and two loos which were immaculately, recycling and waste disposal.
We were sad that we had decided to only stay one night but would thoroughly recommend the site and will use it again in the future.
