If you want a quiet country break, come here!

This is a very good site. Just had 2 nights here, and we will definitely return. Rachel the owner was very friendly and helpful. The site is only just over a year old, and everything is immaculate. There are 6 flat hard standing pitches, all with water, electricity and waste, which is very rare, and very much appreciated. It’s completely open views to the front out over the fields, and the road nearby is very quiet. If you like star gazing it’s an incredible spot, as you have a complete panorama north south east and west. There’s no light pollution and we saw amazing skies. It’s ideal for a quiet getaway. Many thanks Rachel!

Peaceful, scenic and friendly

A lovely spot for a quiet stop. Very nice toilet and shower which are clean and well appointed. The pitches are level and there is plenty of hard standing. I wish we could have had time to explore the area better but the Foss way is quite near for walking. A friendly welcoming site were we hope to return next year.

We'll be back!

Back from a short weekend (postponed from last year) at this site. It's less than an hour from home for us and we wanted somewhere to go with the dogs to escape firework noise. There were organised displays in nearby Luckington and Malmesbury but barely audible and far enough away to not worry the furry ones. Large well spaced hardstanding fully serviced pitches. Beautifully clean facilities (one loo and one shower room with loo). Small area for morning and late night doggy ablutions. Fantastic views and open site which would get plenty of sun in summer. Very peaceful with hardly any traffic on the lane behind. Well cut grass with clippings collected. A few picnic tables dotted about. Fresh eggs for sale. Very friendly owner. The Bridge Indian Restaurant in Sherston will deliver for £1. Very tasty it was too. A number of pubs in walking distance across fields and footpaths. There are absolutely loads of paths from the site including bits on the Fosseway and old Roman Settlements and another route which takes you through a wonderful stud farm. Plenty to do in the area with Malmesbury, Tetbury and Westonbirt Arboretum to name just a few trips out. Definitely going to be a regular site for us if we can get in!

Another Great Stay!!

This was our second visit to this lovely CL - our first having been shortly after it first opened. A friendly welcome from Rachael who is very accommodating. Hard standing, fully serviced pitches with a lovely view over open farmland. Additions since our last stay include eggs for sale, a small on site dog walk and picnic benches to sit and watch the cows - sadly the weather gods were not on our side for that one. Plenty of walks straight from the site - take time to go down to Foxley and visit Bremilham Church which lays claim to be the smallest 'in service' church in Britain. Hope to visit again soon. Many thanks.

Did not want to leave

We arrived via the route suggested by the site owners in the website. Whilst mostly country lanes, it was easy to navigate from the M4 J17 with plenty of passing places and very quiet. Site access is easy with plenty of space to get your whole unit off the road before opening the gate. We were met by Rachel who made us feel very welcome. The site is very new with some thought going in to the design by people who caravan. Lots of space between pitches which are hard standing, fully serviced together with 16A EHU. The grey drain is centrally located at the rear of each pitch - we didn't require any convoluted pipe by carefully positioning the caravan and using a drain manifold and piece of pipe it drained directly from the caravan into the drain. You will need a minimum of 15m of fresh water pipe if connecting the van to the tap. The on site facilities are lovely consisting of a toilet cubicle with wash basin and a combined toilet with shower - very nice. There is a small fenced area for dog walking although the surrounding roads are very quiet should you wish to stroll further. The views across the fields are beautiful. We booked this weekend based on the weather forecast which, unbelievably, was correct thus we were blessed with lovely sunny days which always helps. We highly recommend this recent addition to the CL network and congratulate Rachel and Jonathan on the CL they have created. We will definitely return.

Beautiful Relaxing CL

We recently stayed for 4 nights on this immaculate CL in a beautiful rural setting. Sitting in the early evening and watching the cows wend their way to and fro was a simple, peaceful and therapeutic past time. CL’s have improved a great deal in the last year or so, offering EHU, water & waste disposal on each pitch & often toilet & shower facilities. I know some campers prefer the laid back basic CL, but I must say I love the advantages & conveniences of a CL like New Barn Farm, which offer an easygoing and tranquil environment, but most especially I must mention Rachel’s delightful welcome. A lovely lady, who lovingly cares to all aspects of this great CL. She loves her work and it shows! This is a beautiful part of the world, with some delightful villages & towns nearby. We enjoyed an excellent meal at the Rattlebone Inn in Sherston. Phone reception & 4G were good. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

One Of The Best!

Just had 15 nights at New Barn Farm, and it couldn't have been better. Rachel met us when we arrived to make us feel welcome and give us some info. The very large hard standing pitches in a line all giving nice views of the open fields. Each has EHU point, it's own tap and grey waste drain. A separate toilet and toilet/shower wet room are also available, which are kept clean at all times. It really is one of the best CL's we've stayed on! Thank you Rachel!

A really great CL

We have just returned from another 5 nights at our favourite CL, everything is so beautifully kept, indeed to the highest standard, and from the moment you arrive to the time you depart you know you are welcome. We would recommend this site to anyone. Thank you Rachel once again for everything, we look forward to our return before too long.

Excellent C.L Site

This is a excellent C.L site. We stayed for 7 nights and could not fault it in anyway. Rachel was a lovely person she met us on arrival and went through everything we needed to know. We could not fault the site in anyway. The shower and toilet facilities were always spotless along with the bins etc. The hard standings were large and level with a large area of grass which Rachel kept mown. The views from each pitch were looking over to the farm land with some great sunsets. Highly recommend this site. We look forward to returning. Thank you. . .
