Stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful location, very tranquil with lovely views and a couple of amazing sunsets too. The site is immaculate, lovely big pitches and really clean shower and toilet. Rachel was there to welcome us and was so friendly and helpful. Had a fantastic walk ending up at the Rattlebone Inn in Sherston, which was lovely. Ordered an Indian Takeaway from The Bridge in Sherston, it was delivered to the site and was absolutely great. We were staying with friends and a great bonus was that we could eat together outside using one of the big picnic tables provided. There were even flowers on the tables , a really nice touch. Hope we will stay here again, hopefully for a longer visit now we know how lovely the site is and how much there is to explore locally.
Fabulous CL
We stayed on this CL for two nights whilst visiting a friend in the nearby village of Sherston. We were met by the owner, Rachel, who made us very welcome and explained the facilities. The site is immaculate and has lovely views across the surrounding countryside. Each hard standing pitch has water, EHU and a grey water drain and there is a drive over grey water drain at the entrance. The site also has a shower and toilet block with a single shower and two toilets which are kept immaculately clean. I cannot recommend this site enough if you are visiting the area.

One of the best!
This is a great site and we agree with all previous reviews. The icing on the cake is watching the cows. We would love to visit again.
Great addition to the CL network
We stayed at New Barn Farm CL for 3 nights in April 2022.
As other have said, the site well set up with large hardstandings, fresh water, electric & waste water disposal at each pitch The site is in a perfectly quiet location with views out over the farms pasture. It has close access to the Fosse Way [for cycling & walking - as it is deemed a Bridleway] and is about 1½ miles away from Sherston, which has a Coop store & the Rattlebone pub.
The toilet/shower block was always clean & tidy and the CDP & refuse disposal are close by.
The dedicated dog walk at the site entrance was a nice addition & it seems to be set up to become an orchard in the coming years with apple, pear, plum trees having been recently planted.
Rachel was on hand every day to make sure everyone was enjoying their stay & was able to offer guidance on local matters.
As this is such a new CL, we think that everyone should vote for it in the C & MC “CL of the Year” competition under the “New Site” section! In fact, we have just voted for it!
High praise indeed!
Superb Site
This really is a super site. It is in a fabulous location (great tea rooms just over a mile away in Sherston, The Angel), many quiet lanes and footpaths for walking, including The Fosse Way. The grounds and facilities far exceeded our expectations. The picnic tables, flower tubs, hanging baskets
and bird feeders are beautiful finishing touches. But the star of the show is Rachel. She gave us such a warm welcome and was extremely helpful during our stay. She genuinely wants her guests to have a
great experience. We cannot rate this CL highly enough, and look forward to returning in a few weeks.
Best CL by far
Greeted by the lovely Rachel on arrival who gave us maps of local walks. The pitches were gravel of adequate size and very well spaced out giving a high degree of privacy. Each pitch had it own tap for drinking water and a drain at the rear for grey waste. The toilet building was immaculate offering 2 wc's and a shower, plus a covered area to empty cassette waste. During our 11 day visit the grass was cut to a sensible height with all the trimmings collected. There was little noise from the adjacent lane, mostly horses or cyclists chatting. We found the TV reception good. It's a lovely area for walks and village visits. There was a small but adequate dog field. Highly recommended. Terry and Pauline Walker

As good as it gets.
A perfectly designed and maintained CL and I have very little to add to the other reviews, although they are fully booked until almost May so get in quick if you fancy a visit. They were full throughout our week's stay.
This is a farm so there is a small amount of distant tractor noise, we were at the end near the gate so as far as possible from the farm, even so there was the sound of a vehicle moving about early every morning, and at other times too, plus occasionally up and down the lane. Not really a problem however but it would clearly be louder on the pitches nearest the farm.
The owner was friendly and chatty although she did come to 'remind' us we hadn't done the bank transfer, on our final evening, which we didn't like very much as I was intending to do the transfer later that evening.
The only real niggle is the mobile signal which is extremely patchy, therefore the mobile internet was difficult to obtain.
Would not hesitate to recommend this site.
Peace and quiet
A beautiful site as mentioned by others. Have to agree with the poor tv signal but we tend to download content onto laptop now just in case . However had to mention how helpful Rachel is - we had a difficulty with our heating while on site ( a real problem in early February ! ) and she responded by lending us an oil filled radiator which saved our holiday ! We used the on-site facilities and always found them clean and shower pressure good .we would love to come back - planning it during shooting star season as the dark skies are incredible .
Perfect
There is little more to add than the other reviewers have said already. The road running alngside the site is very quiet. This site meets our needs perfectly with lots of walks from the site with it being quiet and relaxing. Rachel gave us a lovely welcome as we arrived pointing out the facilities and the kept in contact unobtrusively. She provided us with maps but we also used other maps to discover more walks Although a week in January was never going to be a summer style break, the site was well maintained with Rachel cutting the grass with the clippings collected and therefore no grass came in the van. The pictures on the CAMHC website really don't do the site justice and being a newer site (a couple of years old) Google maps street view doesn't show it yet. The freshly laid eggs available from Rachel made a welcome addition to our daily breakfast. Approaching the site using the directions provided made easy access onto the site itself. Coming in from the opposite end of the road would necessitate a 180 degree turn on to the site entrance. The ground is clay and therefore soft in winter in the area but the site is well drained. The hardstanding is wide enough to accommodate an awning if needed. If you are confident in manoeuvring a caravan can be reversed onto a pitch without the need to drive over the grass and this together with awnings being pitched on hardstanding ensure the appearance of the site remains constant. Picnic benches overlooking the field infront of the plots is a thoughtful touch and the facilities were clean with 2 toilets. One toilet and separate toilet and shower in a wet room style. We used our own facilities and the enhanced hookup. The water pressure is excellent on pitch taps, with the tap only needing to be partially on otherwise the hose connector comes off. There is recycling and a clean well maintained CDP. In short we loved the site and will be back
Peaceful location. Well spaced pitches
This is a remote site but you can walk into the village which is 1.5 miles away. Good Indian restaurant there called the Bridge. Although we didn’t walk there as our elderly Labrador wouldn’t make the distance we had a takeaway delivered to the site. It was one of the best curries we have had and hot. You have to tell them to deliver to the caravan site next to the farm or they will use the postcode to deliver to the farm. Rachel the site owner was friendly and very helpful and gave us a map with local walks. One of which was the Fosse way and others via the village. Dog friendly and although a small dog walk field there are plenty of off road dog walks around. Pitches are well spaced and there are only about six. Only 3 of us here. Each pitch is fully serviced with a drive over waste also by the entrance. Good views. Didn’t try the showers as we are self contained. Although it states good tv reception we couldn’t pick it up but as only stayed one night it didn’t matter. Will definitely return.
