A great little site

We wanted somewhere to stay in this area so that we could do the Thatchers Brewery tour, I know we've got simple needs. :-) This site is well located, just a short distance from the M5, and is convenient for the aforementioned tour and for Banwell village and Weston Super Mare. The owners, Steve and Jane, were fantastic! I had a medical episode while visiting the site and Jane and Steve couldn't have done more to help us. The showers/toilets were minimal but functional and clean. Electric is via pre-paid card, Jane topped our card up when we arrived as part of the initial cost and we din't need to purchase any further electric during our stay. The road from the A370 to the site is difficult in places but follow the directions from the CL listing and you'll be fine, though a little patience is needed at times when passing other vehicles on this narrow road. Overall a great site and we will be back at some stage in the future.

Cracking site.

What a fantastic site this is. On arrival we were greeted by the owners Steve and Jane and shown to our pitch ,they left us to settle in then came over to give us a run down on site facilities etc and made us feel very welcome. Steve then ran through the fishing rules and explained the feature on the ponds which was very helpful. People have commented on the roads to the site ,and yes when turn on to Rolstone road it is a bit narrow but you can see quite far a head and there are passing places, crossing the stone bridge not an issue then the site is only a few hundred yards up the lane which is a bit narrow but again has some passing places. It a case of just going steady. I would certainly recommend that you don't arrive any earlier than your arrival time as any caravans etc leaving the site may cause an issue. We loved our few days here so much we have booked for another trip in a few weeks time. Thank you Jane and Steve for a great stay. Ian and Kathy

our say 20/21 April 2024

Narrow lane's with passing places on approach, once you arrive you access a level grassed area surrounded by mature Shrubs and Trees , Greeted by the Owner who explained everything and showed us our pitch , 2 Large lakes filled with fish, Very quiet both day and night, Toilet and Shower fairly basic but ok. Well worth a visit, and we will be going again maybe for a bit longer next time ..

Wonderful Site

A really beautiful and peaceful setting. Extremely clean and well organised. Jane was brilliant to deal with both post arrival on arrival and on our departure. Would thoroughly recommend

Picturesque setting

During this summer of varying amounts of rain, we spent a delightful week on the pond, so to speak, in the lovely, quiet surroundings of this site. My husband, a keen fisherman, wanted to find a CL with the opportunity to fish peacefully just outside the caravan & we were lucky enough to find this one. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and our pitch was pretty. The details on the CMHC website didn't explain that there would be a daily charge for fishing and although it states WiFi, the signal is very poor unless on top of the toilet block. The ablutions are clean, tidy and efficient, although there's a charge for the shower, which to be fair, is now extremely common at CLs given the current economic conditions. We were given 60 kW of electricity 'to start us off', so we weren't sure if there was a charge for further energy should we have needed it - we didn't. Weston is only a short drive away, along with the many other amenities this area has to offer. The drive in can be bumpy with passing places, as the road narrows. A lovely site, well worth visiting.

Lakeside Tranquility

A real gem of a site! All the pitches are lakeside and there's plenty of fish, fowl and wildlife activity to keep you entertained. There's something so tranquil about looking out over the lake, even when the weather isn't at it's best. There's a lovely on-site dog walk and a longer circular walk from site. Also a good base to explore the riches of North Somerset. Jane and Steve are the perfect hosts and make you feel so welcome. I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful

What a stunning beautiful place. Lovely warm welcome from Jane on arrival who showed us our pitch. Lovely spot by the lake, Jane even thought of our dogs with shaded area. Moorland Farm has everything you need and more. Wildlife and lakes are stunning. Wish we had stayed more than 2 nights. Jane was very attentive checked in on us later as well. Will definitely be returning very soon. Thank u Jane ๐Ÿ’“

Simply perfect for a relaxing break

Just back and itโ€™s now definitely one of the top sites to revisit on our list. Everything at this site is perfect for a peaceful relaxing break. The views of the lake are stunning and what a treat to listening to the birds singing waking up to such a lovely view. Well kept toilets and shower and host Jane made us feel welcomed and showed us to our pitch which was ideal. A Well spaced out site and not at all overlooked by other pitches and a sense of peace and tranquility. Jane checked in to see how we were doing and we are pleased to find take ways deliver there too so next trip will treat ourselves .. it really was a perfect site for us and we will definitely be back.

What a find

What a superb find, stayed for three nights but would have stayed longer if circumstances had allowed. We will definately be going back not only a fantastic setting but a great welcome from Jayne and Steve. Parked overlooking one of the lakes and great to see the wildlife. ( Woodpecker arrived each morning just in front of us). Thankyou Jayne, looking forward to meeting you on our next trip.
