Peaceful and scenic

Easy to get to with very good instructions. The West Rolstone Road is long and twisty but we found the locals were very courteous and stopped in the many passing places to allow us to pass. Jane was very welcoming and showed us to a beautiful spot with good distances from the other caravans. The site itself, well we couldn't have asked for more! Very well ran by Jane and Steve, who I must say are a lovely couple. We most definitely will he back. Helen and Kevin.

Calm and Peaceful

Have recently returned from this lovely site, four and a half acres of nature, we were overlooking one of the lakes, just watching the ducks, butterflies, and birds was so relaxing. Jane is lovely, she met us on arrival and explained all the arrangements re toilets, showers and recycling etc, you get an allotted amount of electric with the fee then if extra is needed you can purchase this, very fair way, we used two third of ours in two weeks. Weather was mixed, sun rain and cooler nights, loved the dog walks both around the site and up the lanes. Both Jane and Steve were around but not intrusive, they met and said goodbye to all campers.

Shame to leave - but we’ll return!

We arrived to be warmly greeted by Jane; who gave us helpful information for our stay. We can’t really say anymore that has not been said previously in other reviews. Steve was extremely helpful in passing on fishing information tips which proved invaluable as my partner, Baz was delighted with his catches and Jane came to the rescue, loaning a fishing net when the man’s gave up the ghost. Would we go back again? We can’t wait! The site is tranquil and is well situated for the surrounding tourist attractions. Mostly, we have never experienced the friendliness of the owners and other campers, who helped us with our newly purchased awning. So much so that we hope to meet up next year. Thank you for making our 10 day stay truly memorable. Angie and Baz

Lovely quiet site

Lovely peacefull site set amongst fishing lakes. The hosts Jane and Steve, were very friendly and helpfull. 16 amp hook up, and clean facilities. plenty of room for outfits. The only problem we had, was the access lane when leaving, the access lane from the village, up to the main road, (2.5 miles), took us 25 minutes to get up. It was very busy with oncoming traffic, and was before 9 am. Having said that, we had no problems when going to the site. I guess it is pot luck with single track lanes.

A lovely peaceful retreat

We spent a week here and really enjoyed being so close to the fishing ponds and doing lots of wildlife spotting - I even saw my first kingfisher! Jane and Steve provide a fantastic welcome and are always around to chat and answer any questions. The site provides a good base for exploring the local area, although getting through Banwell will definitely be easier once the bypass is completed. The site is accessed via a fairly narrow lane but we didn’t encounter any problems when arriving or leaving with our caravan. Moorland Farm is a brilliant example of a CL and we’d definitely recommend it.

Exactly what it says on the tin- what a fantastic place

We have arrived back home having had the most fantastic long weekend at Moorland Farm. All the previous reviews say it all. Jane and Steve were both fantastic hosts and the venue was ‘pitch perfect’. This very tranquil site with spacious pitches made for a very relaxing weekend. Thank you both for your kind support and advice when our dog was taken ill during our visit. Will definitely be coming back again in the future and would fully recommend this site to anyone. Thanks both.

5 star cl

Just back from 3 weeks on this beautiful, peaceful site .We stayed during the record breaking heat wave and had 3 weeks of temperatures in mid 20's and high 30 degrees. We also had our little dog with us. We were met on arrival by Jane, who showed us around and helped us decide the best way to position the van . All set up , we took our dog a walk , he had a great holiday and very much enjoyed the smells and sights. The walks were also just right for us just the right side of 80. We spent a lot of time on site because it was too hot to take the dog out. But we did manage a cider at Thatchers , about 2 miles away. We also visited Wilkins Cider at Mudley. Wedgemoor , what an experience that is. During the heat wave Jane kept a check on us always making sure we were OK. Steve was always about showing us different birds . He's very knowledgeable on wildlife. He also keeps the grass mown short and grass collected. We would highly recommend this CL one of the best we have stayed on in our 50 years of caravaning .. We don't fish but for any fishermen out there WOW. You can almost fish from your bed. We saw loads of fish being caught and some whoppers. Toilets and shower spotless. Recycling area also spotless and even the dog had his own bin. We hope to return as soon as possible

What a find,a lovely site with ponds ,ideal for wildlife. The owner met us as he was mowing our pitch ,his wife Jane also introduced us to the site and facilities. Our van was pitched so we could watch the bird and pond life from our front window. Lovely site ,excellent facilities, and friendly hosts. We had a wonderful stay and will be back again. Thank you.
