Very friendly

This is a very well kept site, toilets and showers immaculate. The hosts are very friendly and the site has a cosy feel about it. We have s Motorhome and prefer to use the buses which are the stop is only 10 minutes walk away. Would definitely return.

Our first CL experience - If they are all like this it wont be our last !!

Our first stay at a CL ! Only stayed for a couple of nights to enable us to visit relatives in the area, and t proved to be a great choice ! As you enter, the sign says 'choose your pitch, we'll see you later, which we did, and within 15 minutes we received a very warm personal welcome from David and Suzanne, and of course Bob, the dog ! They gave us all the information we might need for the area, and the site itself. We found it to be a very peaceful site in beautiful surroundings, with an excellent dog exercise area, and several local walks. David also sang the praises of the food available locally, at Golitha Falls, in particular the barbecued brisket - he wasn't wrong !!! Though brief, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will not hesitate to visit again in the future ! The hosts are to be congratulated on the general upkeep of the site, and in particular the very genuine warm welcome !! Pete & Gina Haines

Beautifully kept, peaceful site.

We stayed here in June and were made very welcome by David, Suzanne and their dog Bob. The site is very peaceful, beautifully looked after and has views looking onto the surrounding hills. Golitha falls are a short walk away across the field and are well worth a visit. We would recommend this site and would be very happy to stay again.

Ticked all the right boxes

We visited this site along with a number of others during a tour of Devon and Cornwall, if you're looking for peace and tranquility then this place will not disappoint. First impressions are important and we were pleasantly surprised on arrival to find a clean well kept site, the facilities were to a very good standard and the view tremendous. Our hosts David and Suzanne are both very welcoming and engaging, not just with the domestics but offering plenty of advice on the local area. Located just within the southern boundary of Bodmin Moor this is an ideal location to explore the moor itself. From the site you can walk to the local Golitha falls and Siblyback lake is a short drive away where you can enjoy a very pleasant walk or cycle around the lake. Looe is just a short and inexpensive train journey along the Looe valley railway and to the south Fowey and St Austell are within easy reach. Of all the 7 sites we visited this is definitely one we will return to, we are not ones for necessarily looking to return to a site for a second time so it has to be special to warrant a revisit.

Might have changed hands but it's still as good as ever!

This is our fifth year of returning to this super CL and the new owners gave us a warm welcome and we are pleased to report all is well. The grass pitches are lush and well looked after, the facilities still have masses of hot water and really nice toilet paper and there is a new dog "Bob" who is a bouncy wee character who was pleased to amuse my kids so we'll be back soon. As ever we enjoy our walks up on Bodmin Moor and cycling around Siblyback Reservoir nearby. You really do feel miles away here and yet the nearest supermarket is like 10 mins drive!! Our dog Jack loves the en-suite dog walk on this CL too!!

A real gem

A beautiful, peaceful site with lovely views across the valley and with easy access to much of Cornwall. The owners have really thought about what works and doesn't on CLs and sites and made sure this one reflects the best. Signage is clear, but on slate so in keeping with the surroundings, pitches were marked (again on slate) with the name of the expected visitor, so no confusion. Loads of space on each pitch, reliable electric and spotless toilets/showers. A warm welcome from Gareth when we arrived and no problem with our requests for visitors and leaving later in the day. For us, its very convenient for visiting family locally so we will be back!

Another great stay

What can I say another fantastic stay from the 3/6/16 to 12/6/16 as normal Gareth and Mel were so lovely and everything was clean and tidy. Such a lovely site and people. We managed to explore lots of lovely places from here and hate to say it (as don't want to not be able to book in) its a little piece of heaven with fantastic walks from the site and fantastic owner's can't wait to be back there roll on August ??just love it here.

Perfection!!

Just back from another return visit to this gem of a CL. As always we were warmly welcomed by Gareth and Mel and nothing had changed as everything is just perfect. A CL site owned by fellow caravanners means in this case space, a well kept loo and shower block, lush grass (our daughter learned to ride her bike here 4 years ago!) This site is so close to wild moorland, a fab lake with more activities than you can shake a stick at and you really could be miles from anywhere.....when the nearest supermarket is less than 10 minutes drive away. Excellent dog walk on site, and many more nearby! We'll be back soon x x a

Cornish Charm

What a Cornish Jewel! Situated in a stunning location on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor in an area everyone passes on their way to the commercial areas of Newquay and Lands End. Dog friendly beaches a short drive away including the lovely Seaton. The site is immaculate, the shower hot and all made very welcome including the dogs! 10 days and we genuinely didn't want to go home.
