a lovely, peaceful site

we have just returned from a 4 night stay at Hendrifton Farm and we loved it - the site is quiet and peaceful, with views out over a valley to a working farm. the toilets and shower are clean and there is a fenced dog walking area. the hosts are really friendly and welcoming and provided information about local walks and places to visit.we walked to golitha falls (great cafΓ© there) and around siblyback lake from the site, there are other places to visit within a short drive, as well as shops and pubs. we will certainly be staying again.

Super CL, Dog friendly, Very welcoming

We stayed here just for one night while we attended a wedding nearby. We wished we could have stayed longer! This was our first experience of a CL and only our second excursion with our caravan - we're caravanning novices! David and Suzanne were so welcoming and were quick to reply to emails before we arrived so it was all very smooth and they were very flexible with our last minute change of arrival time. Their dogs Bob and Reka were very friendly and Bob loves a game. My dogs had a fabulous tear around with him in the field. The site is lovely and quiet, very well maintained, good clean facilities and in a great location. There is access to a footpath in the corner of the field and we had a very enjoyable walk to Golitha Falls. We enjoyed our all too brief stay so much, we would definitely love to return another weekend to explore the area a bit more and enjoy the peaceful location of this site with lovely hosts. Sarah and Sally (and Monty & Tiggs!) xx

Great CL close to Bodmin Moor and ideal for the dog owner.

We are on a quest to visit some new (to us) CLs. We tried Hendrifton because of the excellent reviews on this and other sites and because of its location; only 20 miles from home, so ideal for a weekend break. The campsite has 5 pitches and 5 pitches only. So many CLs seem to squeeze a few more these days. There are two toilets and a shower in a block in the corner of the field. These are well maintended, clean and the shower is not the push button type - hoorah! There was lashings of hot water and good pressure. There is an information area but no washing up area. Each pitch has its own electric hook up and there is chemical waste emptying. There are lovely views all around and the site is peaceful and has good access. The reasons why we loved this site were the warm welcome from our hosts Suzanne and David (and the dogs). This has been mentioned before but it really does make a difference. Suzanne offered us some of her courgettes and tomatoes and even treated us to a home made cream tea - yum! Also, the dog walk is a real bonus. There are not many Cls with a designated and large area to exercise your dog. You can also walk from the site to Golitha Falls and Siblyback Lake. At Golitha there is an excellent cafe called Inkie's - try it! We will be back. Julia & Louis

Fantastic CL!

This CL is a gem. Superbly maintained, facilities excellent also clean; a lovely walk both short and longer from the site, the dog was in seventh heaven! A bonus is the comprehensive info pack for each pitch prepared by helpful and charming Susanne. Many thanks, a special place to stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed

This is one of those sites I wish I could visit regularly. David and Suzanne were brilliant, and couldn't do enough to help. We were there for nearly two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The site has good facilities and is very well placed to explore most of Northern Cornwall, which we made the best of. We enjoyed several chats, with David and Suzanne and were introduced to their two dogs, Reika (Hope I have spelled that correctly) and Bob. Bob is a real character and will happily include you in his quest to get someone to throw his frisby for him to collect.

As I said at the start I wish this was a site we could visit regularly, but unfortunately living so far away means this is not to be. Dave and Janis.

We stayed at Hendrifton farm during August, we cannot recommend it highly enough, the site is charming and so perfectly placed to enjoy this beautiful area, however its the owners David and Suzanne that make this site so very very special, they are so welcoming, warm and totally committed to giving you a wonderful stay on there CL, This site truly is a gem ,we didnt want to leave to be honest and would have stayed longer had we not had other sites already booked, Give it a go you will NOT be disappointed. Oh we nearly forgot bob their amazing dog who is straight out of a disney film , he really is unreal and kept us very amused with his little tricks,we loved him .

OMG

We arrived on site and Suzanne and David had kindly reserved the spot nearest the amenities due to my disability. They came out to greet us and we were introduced to Bob, what a wonderful character he is! We chatted for a while before setting up and were told of some of the local places of interest to visit. The amenities block was exceptionally clean and tidy, and posted on the wall outside this was a dog walk for those of us with four legged friends, as well as some other pertinent info. What was nice and quite unusual was that Suzanne and David made a point of coming and meeting arrivals as well as going to say farewell as their guests left. The views are stunning and even the rain didn't spoil these amazing views. We picked Hendrifton as it was quite central for us to visit all the places that we wanted to see. Suzanne & David have only been here since the beginning of the year and look set to make this a landmark in the Caravan & Motorhome directory. Please don't miss out on this little gem, and if like us, you have family that don't tour, they also have 3 cottages of varying sizes for them to stay in. David & Suzanne good luck and all the best. Very friendly

This is a very well kept site, toilets and showers immaculate. The hosts are very friendly and the site has a cosy feel about it. We have s Motorhome and prefer to use the buses which are the stop is only 10 minutes walk away. Would definitely return.
