A Quiet and Friendly Site

We have stayed at Hendrifton Farm twice now and we will return. Hendrifton is in the middle of farm land and apart from the birds and farm animals is very quiet. Suzanne and David are very welcoming and attentive and definitely go the extra mile in terms of hospitality. It is a rural location, excellent for exploring Bodmin Moor with the dogs. As well as the moor, day trips as far as Lands End and the Lizard to the west and Dartmoor to the east are perfectly feasible and there are some lovely beaches and coastline to the south, just a short drive away. There are many excellent places to eat and some of the local restaurants will even deliver your meal to site! Many thanks to Suzanne and David for providing the base for a great holiday. Truly outstanding

We can't really add much more to all of the positive comments that have already been said. Once again, we were made to feel so welcome by Suzanne and Dave, and greeted with the best scones ever. This visit we were treated fresh sour dough bread and sour dough crumpets, and could help ourselves to the fresh herbs (will explain our slight weight gain). The site is centrally located with good access to all parts of Cornwall, you will not be disappointed with a stay here. We like it so much, we've decided to store our caravan close by and have already booked a 2 week stay next year!

Simply Wonderful

This really is a lovely site and delivers on every level. Very well kept, beautiful location, amazing walks and peace and quiet ! The welcome you will get is very warm and friendly. Two farm shops next to the site mean that you can get fresh supplies. “Inkie’s” Bar b q shack at Golitha Falls Is only 30 mins walk across the fields and will satisfy anyone’s hunger with superb food. The cafe at Siblyback lake is also lovely with a very original menu as well as a great range of cakes etc. For us the highlight was an evening meal from “Tapernades”, a restaurant in Liskeard, delivered to our pitch - superb ! This is a wonderful place with really friendly and helpful owners who will do all they can to make your stay just what you want. The weather wasn’t particularly kind to us but imagine our delight when a knock on the door revealed David and Suzanne handing us a cream tea ! Apparently “rainy day” is baking day. Thank you guys, much appreciated and very tasty.

Great example of how to run a CL

From the time of making a booking we knew we were going to be made welcome. The information provided in advance was helpful and so friendly. Arrival was straight forward and we were soon met by Suzanne who was able to answer any questions, along with the site security and entertainment team aka Bob and Rika! The facilities are excellent for a CL, spotlessly clean. The addition of a herb garden was a bonus and the book swap was well used. With easy walking access to both Siblyback reservoir and Golitha falls you don't need to drive anywhere, but access to both coasts is easy. Our stay was made extra special with a cream tea- homemade scones, jam and clotted cream. I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy the beautiful, peaceful setting.

we only live 10 miles away as the crow flies but well worth the journey

best site we have stayed at and the sun even came out - tried to stay longer but fully booked - our dogs loved it and especially Golitha Falls (AND the Cafe)

Such a teriffic site in a beautifull area.

Just spent two nights at Hendrifton, such a warm welcome from Suzanne & David who met us with home made scones, jam and cream. Well maintained grassed pitches, very clean toilet and shower. Dog friendly with great walks around Siblyback Lake where there is a lovely cafe for food and drink, a short walk straight from the CL. Such a fine relaxing time.

Echo

We can only echo all of the great reviews posted by others. The warmest of welcomes, beautiful surroundings and country quiet. We were lucky enough to get some homemade/homegrown goodies. Whilst we were there we booked up for next year! 😊

One of the best

We stayed at Hendrifton in July, originally we booked for 6 nights but ended up staying over 14. I can only echo what others have said about Suzanne and David, they are the kindest and most generous people you can hope to meet, they are always willing to stop for a chat or happy with just a nod if you are that way inclined. Very often when we are away I don't use cl's facilities as apparently I'm very fussy in that area! (OH's Comments) I happily used the facilities here, they were cleaned every day and the shower was superb with really hot water and as much as you like, no timer or extra money. There's a lovely walk from the site to Inkies, a café by a river, big helpings and delicious food not to mention the ice creams !! We also visited a little village at Lerryn which is at the end of a tidal creak where you can launch a Kayak this has a lovely little tea room and pub that serves good food. There is also a vegetarian café at Downderry which is worth a visit, lovely beach and a pub. There is so much on offer at Hendrifton, including free wifi all for £15. Thank you both very much. Suzanne my Rhubarb drink is nearly ready, I can't wait.
