Beautiful spot, lots to do and peace and quiet

Loved this site, two mid 40 year olds, tired out with work and wanted to escape the town and take the dogs somewhere quiet! Fab rural site, slightly sloping, on edge of small valley, listening to the cows mooing and the birds singing! Small shower block which is one ladies loo, one mans loo and one single shower, very handy. Good dog field for late night and early morning wee's for the dogs. EHU and recycling, lovely shop 2 mins drive in St. Cleer, and Aldi and Morrisons for food and fuel at Liskeard about 10 minutes drive max. Fab walks at Golitha Falls (about 2 minutes in car) walking distance, and Cheesewring just up the road at Minnions, so near! We went to Padstow, Fowey, Looe, Seaton Beach (lovely and safe and dog friendly all year round) walked to Downderry and went for lovely meal at Inn-in-the-shore. Will be back as site was relaxed but orderly, lovely owners, makes all the difference! Thank you!

Stunning

What a wonderful site thank you Gareth and Mel for making us all feel welcome. Wish we could keep this beautiful, peaceful well maintained site a secret but will just have to visit it as often as possible. Already booked for August :-). If you want supplies the store in St Cleers has a range of most things and not overly priced. Have to mention The Cheesewring lovely food and a warm welcome well worth a visit.  So overall brilliant Thanks again to Gareth and Mel see you soon.

Perfect peace

Stayed here for 3 nights in early July in our motorhome. Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely well kept and maintained site, pitches were of a very good size. Exceptionally clean shower and toilet block. One you are quite happy to use! Highly recommend this site. Will definitely be back for another visit.

July 2015

Just got home from 4 nights at this site. The site is lovely with very friendly owners (even my terrier Tilly was welcomed by Max the dog). The pitches are huge and didn't get soggy despite the typical British weather. Tilly loved the dog walk and we enjoyed watching the butterflies while she ran around. The shower was a welcome surprise, it's big, is a proper shower not one of those silly push button things and always had hot water. This is one site we will definitely be visiting again.

Superb CL

We stayed here for 5 days around the end of May while visiting family nearby and attending a friends wedding. It was our second visit in a year and Gareth and Melanie continue to provide a beautifully maintained CL and a warm friendly welcome. The pitches and facilities are first class and they are always happy to provide advice and assistance about the local area....especially their recommended dog walks. We had a hectic schedule this time so were not able to soak up the tranquility but next time we visit we will!

Quiet restful retreat.

Very well kept and layed out site, all facilities clean and well thought out. The owners are caravaners themselves and it shows in the care they offer to their visitors. Lovely countryside with beautiful walks and views.

Hidden Gem!

Just returned from a wonderful 5 nights at this superb, friendly site. Owners couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. Facilities were absolutely spotless at all times, excellent location, nice views and very peaceful and ideally situated for site seeing and lovely dog friendly beeches not too far away. Local farm shop excellent for daily groceries, had Sunday Lunch in the Crows Nest, outstanding, well worth a visit. Already planning a return visit, owners really did make us feel welcome.

Excellent base for North Cornwall

We really enjoyed our stay here and would visit again. Some nice walking from the site but also easy access to either coast. The welcome was very warm; we would recommend the CL for a short or longer stay.

Good place for a break

A very peaceful & pleasant site with views over the countryside. Couldn't ask for a more helpful and cheerful welcome.Narrow access road, not suitable for large vans. Would use it again for a short break as we live in west Cornwall.Toilets and shower first class.
