Fabulous Cotswold Retreat
Stayed at this fabulous well equipped CL for two nights and had the most wonderful time. The hosts Julie and Peter were just brilliant and provided us with local information which we found to be really useful. Julie recommended a local fish and chip shop which was only a short drive from the site to Northleach for our first night as we had travelled straight from work. The site was so incredibly peaceful and we ate our supper watching the sheep and rabbits in the adjoining field and also saw a green woodpecker. After a very comfortable nights sleep we took the very short walk in the the beautiful, picturesque Bibury for a wander round then had a lovely lunch in the trout farm cafe before setting off on a very scenic 6 mile walk back to the CL with the map at hand which was provided by Julie (a shorter 3 mile walk was also provided). Our second night was equally peaceful and relaxing and was certainly not ready to leave! We cannot recommend this CL site more highly, great location, great hosts, great facilities, it has it all and we will certainly be returning soon!
