Great Site

I can only echo previous reviews. We only had 2 nights, utilising the train into Edinburgh (station 10 minutes or so walk). There are also services to Glasgow, Stirling and other destinations. Visited the Wheel and the Kelpies, both within a short distance. The welcome from Andrew was wonderful and he was always on hand if required and had loads of advice on places to go and how to get there. Online booking system made booking straightforward. 20kwh of electric per night included, which is more than enough. Over 2 chilly October nights, we used 17kwh in total. Pitches are immaculate and fully serviced. We will be returning, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Brilliant.

Don't stay a lot at CL sites but have stayed here about 6 or 7 times. Love the place. Andrew is very friendly and most helpful. Easy walking distance to bus stop (2 mins) and train station (10 mins). Between the two there is the small town where you will find a chip shop, a Chinese, an Indian and two pubs. Also a supermarket hairdressers and gift shops. The Station Hotel has one of the largest selections of good whisky you can find. Brilliant little place.

What a fantastic site

Probably the best CL we’ve been to. Everything was excellent, from the warm welcome from Andrew, to the huge fully serviced pitches, to the great range of facilities on site. We particularly liked the cleverly designed conifer walk where you could take the dog out in the rain without getting wet. Watching the wild deer in the next field was an added delight. I even lost a hearing aid just before we left which Andrew went on searching for, found it, and posted it on. Unbelievable service which we are truly grateful for.

Wonderful little find

A magnificent stay at Bonnyview. Andrew extremely helpful. Great place to venture out and see what Stirlingshire has to offer. Local town has super Chinese, a nice welcoming pub and good Indian . Train into Glasgow was a great move!

An absolute gem

If you are looking for a fantastic site close to the local places of interest, e.g. The Falkirk Wheel / The Kelpies, this is the site for you. (You can walk to the Falkirk Wheel easily enough). The site is easily accessed with a fantastic warm welcome from Andrew and his family. Massive fully serviced pitches with more than adequate space for your car and awning. However, it is the little touches that Andrew has brought to the site. There is an information shed, with plenty of local information. There is a petanque court (Boules are available). Another area for a bar b que or indeed a firepit. There is a tranquility garden and finally a lengthy pergola under which you can sit in the sunshine. We can highly recommend the local Chinese/Thai restaurant, The Tea House (within walking distance) for a fantastic meal or you can order a take out.

Little Gem

We stayed on this site for five nights and had a wonderful stay. Andrew greets you with a warm welcome and cannot be helpful enough. He is very knowledgeable about the area and places to visit and gives you full access to the 2 dog parks without charge where you can spot the deer in the next field, there is also a tree lined dog walk path if you need to shelter from the rain. Andrew supplies books, games and jigsaws in the information hut as well as places to sit out with tables and chairs and a BBQ what more could you ask for just a brilliant little CL thanks Andrew.

Excellent Cl

Well what can I say. The best Cl site we’ve visited. We don’t normally go to sites with no toilets or showers but glad we came here and will definitely be back. Andrew is such a lovely helpful man. Before we even came we had a problem with our booking. Phoned Andrew and was sorted within minutes. Big fully serviced pitches and every thing is spotless. Lovely covered walk for dog if it’s raining or windy and 2 off lead fields through the holly orchard. Was lucky enough to see 6 Deer as I came out the doggy field one night what a sight that was. Nice information hut with games, books, jigsaws, walks … everything you need. If some information you can’t find ask Andrew and I’m sure he’ll advise you. Unfortunately the blooms weren’t out while we were there but I can imagine it would be a lovely sight to see. There is also a lovely steam train too. Lovely areas for French boules,Fire pit, Tranquility area.Very secure site with a locked gate.

Antonine Wall

An excellent site. Could not fault it at all. Very friendly welcome and immaculately kept and secure site. We used it as a base to walk the Antonine Wall as it is very close to Larbert Station which gives rail access both east and west. We will definitely go back and use it to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow.

fantastic place

just returned from this great cl site,as soon as we arrived we were welcomed by Andrew who showed us our pitch :) helped my partner to reverse into it lol ( thankfully as i'm terrible at it ) there is a lovely little plaque with contact numbers if we need it. very useful, hardstanding pitches are very well maintained. Andrew has the place immaculate,we even got to use the fully enclosed doggie play area :) Meeka our fur baby loved it and so did we lol we never got time to see everything we wanted to see as it was mostly a family visiting holiday but when we come back we will def see the places Andrew recommended. We never got to see the train running though Andrew did say if we want to he will set it up but the weather and time was against us although on a plus side we only had 2 days of bad weather out of 5 and into Nov that was really good..We are looking forward to seeing it with all the flowers and colour, very cute little lanterns lit it up.There is a lovely walk in the conifers round the site when you want to walk the dog and its raining :) You will not be disappointed ...

An absolute gem of a CL

Stayed for 8 nights at Bonnyview Caravan Park CL in Sept 2023 with my wife and our two dogs. It's a beautiful CL, well maintained, secure, excellent facilities, well located and nothing was too much trouble for Andrew, the owner. With ScotRail services being dog friendly, we took advantage of walking the short distance from the site to Larbert Train Station and enjoyed stress free days out to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The tram services in Edinburgh are also dog friendly although the underground in Glasgow is not but that wasn't an issue for us. The site is well located for visiting other must do attractions and for eating out, is a short distance away from Larbert village which has a wide selection of takeaways. We really enjoyed our stay here and have no hesitation in recommending it to others, we will definitely be back. 5/5 *****
