By far the best CL

We were in two minds to give a review as we would like to keep this gem to ourselves, however, that would be selfish. Andrew has done so much to make this the best CL we have ever stayed on. Not only are the pitches large and fully serviced, Andrew has added so many extra touches. Hanging baskets, lanterns dotted about, games/books/puzzles in the information hut, boules area, pergoda with tables and seats and when we were there he was just adding a 120 foot model railway. Really looking forward to our return.

Great place to stay

What a great site . The facilities here are numerous and excellent quality. The pitches are large and immaculately kept. Things such as fire pits , bbq areas, boules/pétanque pitch, croquet, rackets , and even a steam train line ! Andrew even lights a lantern on each pitch in the evening. Nothing is too much trouble for this owner. We would highly recommend especially as a place to visit the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel which are both close by. Thankyou The Peats

Amazing place

Our second time out in the caravan and we arrived at the campsite to be greeted by the owner. He showed us where to go and how to use all the services he had. He even used his tractor to help move the caravan into place. The site is very well kept and surrounded by tress and birds tweeting. There is a small little information hut with games , maps of the area plus logs for the fire. Andrew the owner couldn’t help you enough. The pitch is hard packed and has your water and electric right behind the caravan so no walking for miles to fill up. There is also bowls to play and some nice seating outside. We would recommend this place to all. Thanks for having us we will be back soon.

Excellent friendly welcome

We were met by Andrew on arrival who could not have been more friendly, helpful and informative if he tried. He showed us to our pitch, helped me set up my ramps and lit the tea lights. Later he personally showed a delivery driver from the local Indian restaurant how to get to our pitch in the dark. The facilities are as other have already stated but I particularly liked that our motor home had its own private pitch between large hedges! The only down side is the slight traffic noise but it dies down later and is not that bad. Well done Andrew, I’m sure we’ll be back.

Great site will be returning for sure

This was a really great site to stop at when on route home from Scotland tour to North East England or on the way up, its so perfectly situated off the motorway. Very well kept, beautiful lawns, gorgeous hanging baskets, pretty lights for evening ambiance. Dog walks close by, river seating, deer viewing area, boules pit, tranquility garden and fire pit, for toasting marshmallows. Slight noise from busy road, but we didn’t really notice it after a while. No separate toilets and showers as yet, but they were on their way. Andrew and his son were so friendly and welcoming and their attention to detail was obvious. We wished we could have stayed a while longer. Emma & Stephen (Scarborough)

Lovely new site

What a surprise, a lovely new CL, Andrew is very friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. There are some nice extra touches such as a wee tranquility garden, boules and a flowery pergola, which would have been nice if the weather had been better! There is also a "dry" walk between 2 rows of conifers, ideal for dog walks in the rain. There is a nice dog walk along from the site entrance along the mill lade. There is some noise from the main road, but it was quiet at night. Very relaxing.

Falkirk Kelpies and Wheel

When we decided to visit Falkirk to see the Kelpies, we found this lovely new CL. There is direct access to the great cycle/walking paths around Falkirk and it was so easy to negotiate. Falkirk certainly is a cycle friendly town. On arrival, we were greeted by the owner, Andrew, who was welcoming and showed us to our pitch for the next 3 nights. It was secluded and clean, with manicured lawns. The CL is attached to Bonnyview Garden Nursery and was adorned with beautiful hanging baskets. There are no toilets/ showers, so guests have to use their own facilities, however, each pitch has its own EHU, fresh water supply and waste water drain. There is a lovely garden area with seating and a pergola with picnic tables and umbrellas for guests to use. Andrew even went to the trouble of lighting tealights and switching on the fairy lights every evening, even though we were the only guests, There is an information shed and equipment to play boules, croquet and tennis.and a snack bar in the car park next to the nursery will deliver breakfast to your pitch if required. You can hear a little noise from the road nearby, however the sound of the birds mostly drowned it out. We will definitely return to Bonnyview and would recommend to anyone looking for a site near the Falkirk wheel and Kelpies.
