Lovely Stay

We choose Bonnyview nuresry for the its location to visit the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies and we had a lovey stay. We didn't arrive until 11 pm due to traffic problems, but even at that time Andrew was out to help us get settled. It was -5 during our stay so the water had to be turned off at our pitch, but Andrew was very helpful in offering anything we needed to ensure we were ok. The purpose for our visit was to visit the attractions, but we were doing this on our bikes, so again Andrew gave us all the hints and tips we needed. it was also interesting about the access into Edinburgh or Glasgow and Andrew advised that the train from Larbert (I think) takes you to either, so I would definitely use this CL as a base location. Pitch was big, access was fine, location great would definitely use this site again. Thank you Andrew, you are clearly care about your site and keen to ensure everybody enjoys. Claire

Fabulous Site

We stayed at this site in September for 2 nights, and apologise for the delayed review. We had specifically chosen to stay in this area to visit the famous sights of the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. We were not disappointed, and they were both well worth visiting. We made the best choice by having lunch at the Falkirk Wheel before we moved on to the Kelpies, the food was really good with lots of choice and reasonable prices. This site is absolutely wonderful for peace and quiet, and very near to the above attractions. Andrew was very helpful and informative, and was the perfect host. Our pitch was fantastic and we couldn’t have asked for more. All in all a perfect stay for our purpose. Well done Andrew (and thank you for your suggestion of having a great evening meal at the nearby Tea House restaurant).

Lovely Site

A very warm welcome on site by Ally the owners son who was really friendly and helpful. We met Andrew (owner) later, who was also friendly, pleasant and welcoming. We were quite impressed by this site, fully serviced pitches well spaced out, peaceful and tidy. All in all we had a great time during our stay. Only one thing spoilt it for us and that was a lack of bathroom facilities, hopefully this will be remedied in the future and we will look forward to a return visit.

Great little site within easy reach of the Kelpes & Falkirk Wheel

Andrew the owner is a lovely chap who provided excellent service & great advice covering the area. This is a small quiet site site, well looked after and the price per pitch is very good. No toilet or shower facility but the site is super for either a stopover or a couple of days visiting the area. Will defo use again should we be in the area.

There's a but...

Well located for the various local attractions and places of interest. Mr Ross has put much effort into making this a CL that is different from the "usual" CLs in the club system. The water and grey waste at each pitch are very convenient. The site and pitches are easy to access, we had a warm welcome. We chose this CL because it is advertised as being Adult Only, the website makes this very clear. We were booking in for a weekend visit, we wished to avoid footballs and feral children. We were somewhat surprised then to be joined by a family. Having children playing boules in front of our van was not what we expected, and they were playing late into the evening, gone 21.45, hardly relaxing for us. The information hut on site offers children's games, a variety of bats, balls, hoops etc. Why? On an Adult Only site this seems to make no sense. So, is it an Adult Only site or not?

Lovely site and a very warm welcome

Lovely site close to lots of attractions, but also with lots of things to do on site if you don't wish to go out! Andrew was most hospitable and the site is very well maintained. There is a bit of traffic noise that can be heard at times, but the location and scenery outweighs this, and it couldn't be heard late at night. We even spotted the deer in the adjacent field! Also handy being on a nursery - our hanging basket is a lovely reminder of our lovely stay at Bonnyview.

Fantastic few days

A lovely CL would definitely recommend if you want a very hospitable host, lovely surroundings, a good base for attractions. We walked to The Falkirk Wheel, and then along the Forth & Clyde Canal to the Kelpies. Also caught the train for a day trip to Perth. We will be back to explore more of the area.

Great site with friendly helpful owners.

Had a 4 day stay in May 22. Site has large pitches with 16 amp electrics and pitches are fully serviced and some self contained with high hedges around. Whilst site is quiet at night you do get road noise from the busy A9 plus being a mile away from the local large hospital you can hear ambulance sirens. Good walking for dogs on local paths which are tarmacced, plus the area on the site. Easy to go shopping in Falkirk plus see the Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel, and go the opposite way to visit Stirling. Andrew is very helpful and keen to show you his outdoor Railway and Vintage Tractors. We will certainly be back and can recommend to others.

An oasis of calm!

What a lovely little site this is! Sadly we were only there for one night but owner Andy couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. The pitches are large and immaculately kept. Pitches have water, grey waste and EHU. Tea lights are lit on the end of each pitch at night! The Falkirk Wheel is walkable from the site. It’s mostly flat and about 1.5 miles and took us 30 minutes each way; about half is on a B road which doesn’t have a footpath, but traffic wasn’t too heavy. The Kelpies are a short drive away. If you’re lucky you might see deer in the paddock at the end of the site which can be used as a dog walk. The only reason I have given a couple of 4’s is the traffic noise which did seem pretty non-stop but other than that it’s a lovely little site and the owner is a love chap who has gone out of his way to make it a little bit special. Thanks Andy!

We arrived on the Saturday afternoon for a two night stay. Fantastic little escape, the host, Andrew, is such a nice guy, really friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Nice walks all around the site, then a family of deer come past!! Idilic location. Love it. Planning a decent walk tomorrow.
