Little Gem

We have just returned from a great weekend at this Little Gem of a Site. Andrew the owner welcomed us on arrival and offered us a choice of pitches which are all fully serviced and hard standing. There are lovely little touches with hanging baskets/lights in Pergola, Boule court/ BBQ area as well as a mini railway all set up. I can only imagine this in summer sitting looking out from your pitch. We have a dog and it was a real bonus to be able to take her to fully enclosed dog park at end of site. All attractions from Kelpies/Helix Park, Falkirk Wheel and many more all just a short drive away or enjoy the walks starting at site entrance. We will be back maybe see you there. Great site

We only stay a half hour away and do many weekends within a hour from home. Andrew was the perfect host and very welcoming. We were on pitch 4 which was perfect as very private. Recommend The Station Hotel as a bar and something to eat, 10 min walk from site, and as the name suggests right next to the train station. We got a bus directly from the entrance of the site to Falkirk then spent some time walking the canal after we had a look round. Snack bar at entrance of site was also great for morning rolls. The site is immaculate and the hanging baskets are amazing. Lovely walk through the trees round the back of the pitches and loads of room over the whole site. Well worth a visit, and looking forward to returning.

Kelpie visit

We stayed on this really lovely CL site on our way up to Loch Lomond. Andrew was really helpful , told us whete everything was and gave us information on how to get to The Kelipes and The Falkirk Wheel which are both worth a visit. There's a water tap on each pitch which is a great bonus and a nice dog walk and dog exercise area. Secure gate so felt safe. All in all a fab CL . 😊

Scottish tour.

What a great CL this is. Very easy access from the A9 and a very warm welcome from Andrews' son when we arrived. Andrew himself also also showed us to our secluded, serviced pitch. On site there was a model railway, a Boules pitch, a picnic area and a gated dog-walk as well as being part of the well stocked nursery. Ideal place to visit the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel and Andrew even pointed out a short-cut to get there. (about 5 minutes in the car) Would highly recommend this site.

Lovely Hidden Treasure

Just stayed for two nights. Warm and welcoming greeting on arrival with explanation of site facilities. Pitches are serviced with clean water with a disposal drain for grey water. Chemical toilet emptying is straightforward. Site is ideally located to get to local tourist spots either walking, cycling or public transport. Very well presented and kept site. Due to town location some road and rail noise but only as a low background sound. Well worth the stopover or as a base to visit either Edinburgh or Glasgow by train. Would stay again.

Great Stay

This is a fantastic CL. The host Andrew gave us a nice welcome and was on hand for any questions we had. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The site is nicely laid out within a lovely setting for the five pitches 2 of which were individual and ideal if you wanted a little more privacy. The lawns were well kept . There was a good information hut and a boules court if you wanted to play. At the site entrance there is a cycle path that is smooth hard service all the way to the Kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. We had a great stay here and will certainly go back again.

Ideal for the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies

This is one of the best sites we've stayed at, the owner goes out of his way to help and nothing is too much trouble. The site is perfectly located for cyclists of all abilities as it has a cycle route at the site entrance. This takes you to the Fakirk Wheel, the Kelpies and into Falkirk, with links to the national cycle network. The cycling in the area is 99% tarmac cycle paths and perfect for the leisure cyclist. The pitches are fully serviced, sheltered from the elements and are South facing so you have a nice sun trap. There is a large gated area for dog walks and the site is very clean and secure. There is also a well maintained information hut, which along with information on local attractions is well stocked with games, including boules that can be played on the purpose built boules court. This is a great site which I will certainly return to when next travelling North or visiting the area.

Great stay

Fantastic welcome from Andrew as we stayed a couple of nights last week - so helpful and full of local knowledge. Very handy for the local railway station (and other public transport) and convenient for visiting the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies. We did the latter one evening on our bikes - only 4 miles one way, so walkable too. We missed Andrew's garden railway, and hope we can come back for this another time.

Great welcoming cl

Visited here for a week in May. Didn't want to leave! So welcoming. Andy around making sure all was well. Such a lovely private site. Great to have water and waste at each site. Covered over fir tree path was amazing. Worth a walk down it. Great tarmacadam path behind the site for walking, running, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Site handy for shops etc. Will certainly be back if we are in the area again. Thanks again to Andy for a great stay. Keep up the good work.
