Fabulous CL

Bonnyview Nursery CL is the perfect place to stay to see the local attractions or as we were a stop over on our way up further North. Andrew, as previous reviewers have mentioned is the perfect host and the site was perfect for our two doggies (…as well as us) to decompress after the long drive. Fully serviced pitches with plenty of space and the opportunity to see local wildlife (we saw deer…and there were reports of Kingfishers and Otters in the adjacent river). Would not hesitate to recommend this CL or return in the future. Top draw stuff

A bonny site!

Due to unforeseen circumstances we only managed one night here but Andrew was the perfect host and nothing was to much trouble to explain or show. The site is lovely with spacious pitches and ehu, water and drain on each one. There's a lovely dog walk through the holly hedge field. We visited The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel which were only 10/15 minutes in car, or apparently you can walk if you're feeling more energetic than we were! We would recommend this site to anyone looking to visit the local attractions and you can take the train into Edinburgh from the nearby station. We will certainly be back if we are up this way again! Thankyou for your hospitality and kindness Andrew.

Little oasis of calm

Lovely little gem of a site tucked away in a mainly urban area, surrounded by gardens and wildlife. Great for visiting the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel and 5 min from the motorway, making it a great stop off en route to the Highlands. Really appreciated the candle lit lamps and fairy lights which made the evening dog walk feel very magical.

Amazing little site with a model railway!

I stayed here with the in-laws on my way to complete the NC500. First of all, a lovely welcome from Andrew, giving me all the information about the site and local area, plus a chat. The site is kept immaculate, nothing out of place, water and waste on the pitch, with the pitches at the end enclosed by some impressive trees, giving these pitches the ultimate in privacy. Sadly no WC's but that wasn't a problem. Top this site off it has a lovely little Hornby LIVE Steam railway. Which the host Andrew, gave a lovely demonstration to the admiring fellow campers. Will definitely stay again, thank you!

Excellent maintained 5cl ran by friendly, helpful host Andrew , close to many tourist attractions

What a lovely 5cl impeccably kept and ran by Andrew who is so friendly and knowledgeable. Pitches 4 and 5 are hedged off giving extra privacy. Great dog walks..2 fields, plus Holly walk and conifer walk which is great for sheltered walks. Deer can sometimes be seen in Holly walk in the morning or early evening Pitches are all hard standing and fully serviced. Well-situated for many tourist attractions Secure gated entrance. Highly recommend

Excellent site

We have just spent 3 nights at Bonnyview on our way up to Killin, wanted to view "Falkirk Wheel" and "Kelpies", both on signposted trails direct from the campsite (3 - 4 miles). Andrew (owner) could not have been more welcoming and friendly and obviously takes great pride in the layout of the site, nothing was too much trouble and pitch was fully serviced (water, electric and grey waste). Would definitely use the site again when up in that area. Thanks again for a great stay.

Very welcoming site and site owner

We stayed at Bonnyview CL on 4th April for 5 nights and the welcome was easy, very well signposted and a secure gate with a padlock (Andrew, the owner, contacted us before arrival with the current code). Lovely welcome from Andrew who showed us around and offered any help needed. The site itself is very nice and you can really tell a lot of pride has gone into it from long time owners. During our stay Andrew showed us around the land and it was so nice to hear the history of the site itself and the work that has gone into making it what it is. Definitely reccommend going for a walk through the conifer walk! We visited lots of places all a short drive away including the Falkirk wheel, Edinburgh, Blackness castle etc. There was a little road noise but i would say still a peaceful place regardless. If we are in the area again we would definitely return. Thanks for a lovely visit!

Fantastic find

Outstanding CL and a great find. Good access off the main road. A level site with excellent security. Good size hard standing and well maintained grass. Individual modern 16A electric point with water and drain. No problems with satellite and arial signals. Chemical waste and bin area easily accessible. The gardens had a number of features. Some mention road noise but we found it minor and no problem. A footpath/cycle track starts at the site entrance, ideal for walking the dog. Ideal for a motorhome. Good footpaths on all roads and10 minute walk to the main street with mini market and local shops. Indian and Chinese restaurant and carry out. A dog friendly pub/hotel at each end. Larger supermarkets nearby but a good walk away. Bus service to Falkirk at the site entrance, every 15 minutes and takes about the same time. 45 minutes the other way to Stirling. Falkirk centre has all the shops you need and a large retail and leisure centre forms part of it. A great site for touring as well. Seems like a good train service as well. Perhaps the nicest thing about the site is Andrew the owner who gave us a warm friendly welcome. He was happy to show me his vintage tractors and agricultural equipment and one evening he fired up his small steam trains for the residents. His garden centre opens for the summer and he specialises in hanging baskets.
