Lovely site, great facilities, well don't Stuart and Sarah

We have just stayed at Acacia House and I have to say what a pleasant site, well managed with excellent facilities for a CL site. Games room with pool table, air hockey, table football and DVD/TV. Then a covered area with ping pong table and sofas, then a couple of little kids play areas. Really lovely, would definitely come back.

Fantasic Site

We travelled up from Dorset on the run up to the Easter weekend. We had heavy flooding due to storm Kathleen and I was concerned due to it being a grass site we would have problems getting on and off. Stuart assured us we would have no issues on site, as it drains really well. I’m so glad we did, this has got to be one of the best CL’s in the UK. The location it amazing and really easy to access. There is so much to do in the local area. We were in the area to attend a local event but it is now on our list of CL’s to return too. Thank you to Stuart and Sarah for the warm welcome and providing such a fantastic site.

1st time caravaners

Our first outing in the new caravan... On arrival was Greeted by Sarah who was very friendly and warmly welcomed, and gave us all the information about the site that we needed to enjoy our 2 night stay. We were on plot 1 near the slide, enormous plot as were all the plots with EHU and Water . Shower and toilet was spotless, games room contained pool table, air hockey table, table football, games consul and tv, the bookcase was completely filled with DVD's (We'll take the tv/dvd next time. Under cover area included table tennis and numerous sofa's and chairs and picnic table which was great. Childrens swing and slide at site. Chemical Waste very accessible and spotless. What an amazing first found CL site for us, and will definitely come again... All credit goes to Stuart and Sarah, what a great site you have created, well done. Rob and Amanda...

Perfect CL

We have just returned from a 2 week Easter break at this perfect well equipped CL site. The owners go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasant experience and the facilities are second to none. They are regularly cleaned and well stocked. Stuart and Sarah have a great knowledge of the surrounding area and places to visit. It is a well drained site and the grass is cut and the cuttings are collected unlike many other CL's, keeping your caravan and awning clean. It is an ideal CL for both families and grandparents, as there is plenty of activities to amuse any age of child with games, DVD's and a large undercover Events Area, which has plenty of comfy seating and table tennis. We will revisit this fantastic CL again. Thankyou for a great stay. Karen, Graham and family.

Explore Essex!

Acacia House is everything you could possibly want in a cl. Super large well-draining pitches (yes we had some rain, but then we usually do!), play areas for children, inc. inside, sheltered family area with tables and seating, water and electric to all individual pitches, easy access, friendly, helpful owners, etc. etc. Outside the gates, there are good local walks, short drive to local shop or superstore with fuel, good pubs and walks in Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe (and probably elsewhere too). We don’t often return to cl’s as we like to explore new sites, but I think Acacia House may be an exception, especially as just an hour from home (well it will be when they finish the A12 roadworks!)

Beautiful Site

We chose this CL as its only about an hour from our home and its ideal for getting away for the weekend. The owners are very welcoming. The facilities on the site are also kept lovely and clean. I would highly recommend this CL to anyone and will visit again soon

Another lovely week….

Our second visit and it won’t be our last. A lovely week with our teenage grandchildren here in August. We found various activities for us all including the Curve Water Sports at St Osyth close by, where there are large inflatables on an open lake. Beautiful sandy beaches at Clacton etc. Fish and chips at Winkies in Brightlingsea all freshly cooked for 8 of us and very quick service in the restaurant and extremely yummy. Colchester has many amenities and a great pool with again inflatables and also flumes. More exploring on our next visit. Thank you Stuart and Sarah.

A great CL

Stuart has clearly worked very hard to make this an excellent CL. The shower/toilet block were modern and spotlessly clean. Each pitch had its own water supply, and was large enough for a car and awning with space to spare. The large covered area with seating and tables would be very useful in wet weather; we were fortunate enough to experience a great week there in May. Thank you Stuart for a great welcome and a lovely stay on your site.

Wonderful Surprise

An unexpected oasis this site has so much more than the average CL. The covered social spaces are a tasteful bonus as is the shower. The pitches are well spaced and the site is peaceful. An added bonus was the beautiful estuary walk which starts about 100m from the site gate. We will be back

Fab little site.

We have just returned from a short stay on the Cl at Acacia House. What a gem of a find. Excellent facilities, big, well mown pitches and the friendliest, most helpful hosts. It’s just a short drive to the coast and the Tide Mill ( only 5 mins walk away) is beautiful on a sunny day. You can hear hear a little traffic noise at busy times but we will definitely return.
