Tranquility

This is a new site and beautifully set up. Lovely views, constant birdsong, pretty cows in adjacent hilly field. Spacious pitches (no hook-up yet), wild flowers, good facilities- with added extras like children’s play area. A beautiful space for families, birdwatchers and those (like us) who only want to chill and paint. A short drive (or regular bus) to Brightlingsea, with loads to offer (including the only publicly accessible lido in Essex @brightlido). Thanks Stu and Sarah for sharing your space with strangers!

Wow what a find!

Sarah and Stuart have put a lot of thought and hard work into this CL. Its lovely, well laid out with large pitches nicely separated with wild flowers and grasses and its own tap. We enjoyed watching the local wildlife, the baby bulls in the next field, the buzzards display and the pigs in the field below. Neighbouring Brightlingsea is a pleasant small town with lido, shops, pubs and restaurants and we would also like to recommend Winkies fish and chip shop! Thorrington is pretty and there are many walks from the site. Our daughter lives a short drive away so we will definitely return. Well done you two, we had a great weekend thank you.
