The lost creek

Stuart and Sarah are very welcoming there was only one downside in my opinion which was I was looking forward to having a view over the creek and unless you have a very tall ladder you will not see it. After saying that though we will be back

Fantastic new CL site

We stayed at Acacia House CL for three nights in July 2022 and were blown away by the effort that Stuart and Sarah (who are really very friendly) have put into the site which had only been running for a little over a year at the time. The pitches are very spacious and nicely marked out with strips of tall grass and wild flowers. There is a fresh water tap on each pitch along with 10amp electrics but perhaps most impressive of all is the large covered pergola area with comfortable table and chairs. There's also some children's play equipment along with a chairs and table. There is a toilet on site adjacent to a games room with pool table, air hockey and foosball table. The toilet was functional but still being built out during our stay and will have a shower added. Based on the quality of the rest of the site I expect it will be very nice once completed. As usual I've made a film of the site which can give you a better impression of it than I can in words. https://youtu.be/14QF282pGDk

Can’t wait to come back

We had only just picked up our campervan, completely new to us. We booked a local CL site for one night. Firstly the site was easy to find, just go a little slow in the main road leading to it and put the indicators on early as it is a fast road. We pulled in and filled up with water, with ease, very clean and tidy. We found a pitch, all of them large. Views spectacular, easy to hookup with our 15m cable. Stewart greeted us and he was super friendly and informed us of all the things we could do in the surrounding area, which is a lot. I went running in the morning and was fantastic taking in countryside, slight hilly. We needed to be off by 10 but there was no rush by the owners to get off. We left at 1030. Already excited for our return with my son, who will love the treehouse, pool table and games room. Defo worth a visit. Thanks Sarah & Stewart you have created a beautiful destination x

Brilliant CL

We've been coming to stay in Britlingsea for many years and stayed at a few other CL sites the area but none are as good as this. Stuart & Sarah were very welcoming and attentive during our stay. They have put a great deal of effort in developing this outstanding CL. The grass pitches are huge and well defined with water and electric on each pitch. A shower is soon to be added to the existing toilet. The site description and local areas of interest indicated are of enormous help to those new to the location and a lot of other CL's would benefit from this detailed approach. The evening sunsets are amazing! We originally booked 5 nights and enjoyed it so much we stayed on an extra couple of nights. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best!

Sarah and Stuart have put a lot of thought and hard work into this site. They are very friendly and really could not have done more for us. There is plenty of space, there's electric and water on each pitch, the access is easy, and they are planning to install a shower in the near future (there's already a toilet) We both loved Brightlingsea, particularly the small beach and a Lido (we had a heatwave our week!) and there are a number of small friendly shops including a butcher. I really liked the unpretentious nature of the place. We will be back!

Amazing- and getting even better

We stayed when the site first opened and have returned a few times for a change of scene. The site has a perfect combination of space/tranquility alongside a quirky/ fun element. This visit we enjoyed an early swim in the lido with breakfast at the cafe, we returned to site to play table tennis and table football and met up with a friend to eat lunch alfresco on the big communal table. We have painted, watched birds, enjoyed the views and abundant flowers. The site is truly brilliant. It has something for everyone and is getting better each time. We love it. Thanks again, to Stuart and Sarah. Fantastic hosts!

WOW!!! WOW!!!

What a CL!!! The picture on the opening page does not do this CL any justice. the first thing you see when arriving is that the site is behind the owners (Stuart) house but then the site opens to a large well maintained grass area This CL has all the facilities you require , very large grass pitches (sloping) each edged by a small hedge, electricity, water and waste to each pitch, games room, barbeque area and play ground with swings. Whilst we were there Stuart was completing a purpose built toilet facility with shower and wash basin.,and was converting a barn into holiday accommodation. Stuart is putting a lot of work into making this CL one of the best CL's (when completed) we have been privileged to find. When next in area we will have no hesitation in returning.

Wonderful site

Met with a warm welcome from the owner. The site is so immaculately kept and a real hidden gem. There is a huge outdoor wooden gazebo with sofas, fairly lights, tables. The treehouse is amazing, indoor games room to keep the children entertained, picnic tables dotted around. We got the bus into Brightlingsea stops right outside the site. Lovely walks on your doorstep. Will definitely be returning absolutely beautiful site.

Brilliant New Site

What a lovely site found only 90 mins from home . Fully serviced large pitches. Facilities on site consist of a large open barn with table tennis, barbeque and loungers . Ideal for social gatherings. Closely cut grass with borders to the plots . Play area with swings and a treehouse for the younger campers . Friendly welcome from Stuart who is still improving his site by adding a shower and toilet . Ideal walking routes along the River Colne .Highly recommended and will return
