The lure of ehu

Just come off a Rally on an all singing and dancing commercial site.   They did a deal where the ehu was optional @£3 p/n.   28 vans 25 paid for ehu.  We didn’t refilled the gas bottle after we got back and it cost me £4.51, the bottle had been used for 4  nights on a clubsite so ehu and 3 nights non-ehu so 7 nights in total.

No moral to this story just numbers.

Believe me B2B I was and still am well ahead of Merve.  I just don't make so much noise about it.  I wonder if his favourite gas cylinder company has got any stock yet 🤔.

I find that a shame DD. You could have helped so many people but by keeping it to yourself, they missed out including me. I have simply highlighted the possibilities of modern tech. When did you get your lithium? I and others would be interested to find out what your ‘well ahead’ means? Genuinely I am interested- Anything to improve my setup. Safefill have got cylinders  in now but they are flying off the shelf.

Lots of non facility/ehu CL’s circa £5/night, the club would have to reduce their prices on non facilities sites significantly to compete.

Posted on 04/04/2019 16:18

No they would not. The CC sites are not in the business of competing with £5 a night sites

And that’s why many don’t or won’t use them. Premium service for customer willing to pay premium prices. Sorry but not for me even at £5!

I don't think that EHU is a premium service, more like the bare minimum

It's beyond me as to why anyone would become evangelistic about the use of EHU or not; its just a matter of personal choice.  Our setup allows for both on and off grid, what others do is entirely up to them.

Absolutely. Yer pays yer money, yer takes yer choice!

Absolutely agree with that last phrase and how good it would be if folk adopted that mantra to all "areas" of touring! smile

Its really suprising that the worn out argument of reducing prices when it is getting more difficult ,so many say, over longer periods to actually get a pitch on club sites, and use the what is now accepted as a basic requirement of have EHU to the pitch
