PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

The subsequent responses on this thread are evidence enough, surely. It is the lack of senior management's grip of the problem that calls into question their leadership skills.

I do agree with the farce that is CT at the moment but what is the club's primary concern or duty by the management? Is it having CT running smoothly or having good running sites, high occupancy, recruiting members...

Surely no one would stop using the club's sites due to CT?

I think that would depend on which department is involved, presumably IT would want to create a good impression? If the web site looks inefficient this could reflect on how the club is perceived, whether it is well run etc.

One can accept a level of prioritisation within the management of the Club but when a problem appears to be totally ignored......

Isn’t that the usual way? Simple things are dealt with or referred on but anything that's a bit of a challenge tends to be ignored in the hope it will go away or be forgotten.

I think we make the mistake of confusing the club with an efficient customer focused business. Those who say the club is a business are wrong. It wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the real world of commerce.

I have just been reading the C&CC annual report, they spent £1M in the last finacial year on IT. At the moment CT is all over the place, absolutely no consistency in presenting new posts and locking of posts. I have just added a post to one that is supposedly locked!

One thought has occured to me the NEC show is coming up, are we about to see a relaunch of something IT related when it can be got right????

Ok I can understand what you are saying and I agree we are being treated shamefully with no word of why from the grown ups running the club, but are they ignoring (if that is what they are doing, we don't know) a business critical problem?

What would happen to the club, it's main concern of running good well occupied sites, it's booking system, all the other stuff like insurance and whatever... if CT were to vanish? Would people stop booking? Stop taking out insurance?

Are you saying that people's view of CT affects their using club sites and services?

Next time you're bored (stuck in traffic, waiting rooms...) and name as many CT regulars as you can, how many 20? 30? out of how many members? I know it is inconceivable but maybe we're not that important?

I understand what you're saying Corners, however if any one who's looking to join the "club" view CT as an example of how well it's being run from HO they would run a mile and find another better organised IT  wise club to join.

I'm finding it impossible to keep track of posts. Some appear and then disappear, selecting one and a different previous on appears, new post are not being recorded......yell

yes it could be a case of if you offer something then offer it well (or at least in workable order) or not at all.
