PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

Talking about jumbled up web sites.  I was just trying to find a previous Chasncath story about a trip to Spain and I found it had my photos of Shetland attached and someone else's juggling photo in a village hall! I wonder why these muddled up stories have been left on so long, it just looks ridiculous. Now the whole site is slipping into a similar mess.

The story must have  been before the most recent upgrade (2 years!). I have discussed this with Rowena at length but I get the impression the Club are unwilling to spend the IT time to correct the problem. Personally I think it would be better to delete all the old stories that have muddled up photos but I am not sure any major upgrades will ever happen to this version of the forum so we are stuck with what we have as unsatisfactory as that is!

It seems strange to leave the stories that have been ruined by the upgrade. I agree they would be better Deleted User as they are non sensical, very sad to lose some of the excellent efforts by the contributors but their stories are not at all as they originally intended. I realise it's more than likely no upgrades will appear on here but I wonder why the site is so inconsistent, especially over the last few days? I hope we hear a bit more because anyone new to CT will not be able to make much sense of the present situation!

I don't think anything will happen over the weekend. The issues have been reported to the CM so I expect it will be sorted out tomorrow,

The forum pages are still fluctuating between different days, dates and times, making it confusing to read, the edit function is intermittent and so are "likes."

Whilst I might be able to guess why this is happening is there any official news on the state of play? At the same time thanking those who have had to deal with some extra moderating yesterday and last night, which added to the confusion.

I signed on here this morning because unfortunately I've had to cancel a couple of planned breaks but it's disappointing to see there has been no communication about the technical hitches.

A simple acknowledgement that the club is aware of the problem would be nice, or have I missed that somewhere?
