PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

It seems to be rotating through three or four versions before you can get back to the bit you want, some discussions are showing as 0 posts then they revert back to the correct amount. Edited posts are showing up in both versions, edited and non edited. undecided

The AGM is coming up. Perhaps a motion from the floor of no confidence in the Chief Exec would focus the minds.

While I agree that this continuing problem and the club's inability to fix it is just beyond words, would you really base a motion of no confidence on this alone?

What percentage of club members use CT? I assume the booking system still works and the rest of the website?

I’m inclined to agree.

Q:  "On what grounds are you calling for a motion of no confidence in the Executive Committee and/or the Director General of the club, Mr CY?"

A:  "Err, the forum is a mess and the site search facility is poor. The whole website is a bit slow as well."

It's hardly 'off with their heads' stuff, annoying as it may be. smile

It's still a strange state of affairs when it's left like this for several days.

Haven't checked if things have improved, maybe it's all working again (trying an edit test....)

No, CY's post appeared first when I went back to the discussions list. My edit is missing on the second viewing.

And we've had no word of explanation from anyone at HO. Now isn't that a surprise!!

The problem might be that the club bought the IT system from FWW ( they went bust) and consequently can't get them to rectify the mistakes in it.

In this case 'quality' is required rather than ' cheap and cheerful'.

Does anyone know who made the original decision to purchase, or are they no longer in the club's employ?

Posts seem all over the place. If I click to go to last post, it seems to take me not quite to last post, couple of pages in. Also if I post something, my last post isn't showing up as the last post? Weird!

The subsequent responses on this thread are evidence enough, surely. It is the lack of senior management's grip of the problem that calls into question their leadership skills.
