PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

Hi Cyberyacht,

The "NEW" flag is shown for any item that was created after your previous login time, it is not related to whether you have viewed the item or not.

We've tested this multiple times and it's working as expected for me, could you explain exactly what you're experiencing please?

Thanks

It certainly is not working properly on my iPad, using safari. This thread had 6 New showing. Accessed it and read them, then logged out and back in. It still showed 4 as New and no other posts had been made.

Edit now showing 5 after my post.

Since the downtime a little while ago new posts are causing the relevant thread to appear in Ask the Expert. undecided

I see posts Deleted User by a poster no longer make reference to a moderator. That's good👍🏻

Hi Cyberyacht. ---------- Have you received any feedback from Grimstead Towers as to how many items on your snagging list have been resolved to date ??   Or been given a date when they are all expected to be resolved ?.

Cheers......................K

In the words of a certain Mr McInroe "you cannot be serious".

Well, apart from its "okey cokey" performance, it does as you post. I do expect however that "new" means a post that has not been read, as no doubt do 90% of other internet users. I do not expect that any unread posts that I do not manage to read in the session to disappear from being highlighted. Is it really too much to ask of the IT department to create a cookie that practically every other website on the internet is capable of delivering?

Yes, I have this too, wasn't there this afternoon!  I am also getting topics moving in and out of other topics.

For example this thread appeared in ask the expert live, went out of the thread and it went back, weird!

Also have them on my iPad. They certainly don't scroll or anything, they just act as borders round the post. They are not there on my iphone.

An explanation would be nice.😖
