PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

I'm using my laptop, which I don't often do these days, and still find a delay in typing and the words appearing, generally the longer I type the more noticeable it becomes.  Very disconcerting when you are touch typing and reading as you go, especially if you accidentally hit the wrong key and know it, hit the backspace and find it takes out quite a lot undecided

I know I keep banging on about it but I still cannot post on my Kindle Fire without it eating words, sometimes I can type whole sentences before it starts and another time it's immediate.  Certainly wasn't like it before the upgrade yell.

Reason I prefer to use Kindle to phone is tabs are easier to negotiate, same with laptop, phone much smaller, this is vital with the upgrade as getting to where you were is a nightmare after logging in................

What is the random lower case 'p' in a separate box under the compose a reply box??  Did I miss the answer?

Clicking on the upload photos link on my phone or Kindle only gave me the discussion pages, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to try it on my laptop.  This only gives me the latest activities list, which is how I enter from my bookmark for CT.  I'm curious to try to post a photo and consider that a title Uploading photos, would take me immediately to the how to page of instructions, am I missing something?????

Hi Cyberyacht,

The "NEW" flag is shown for any item that was created after your previous login time, it is not related to whether you have viewed the item or not.

We've tested this multiple times and it's working as expected for me, could you explain exactly what you're experiencing please?

Thanks

I logged in this morning and viewed some new posts then logged out. I've just logged back in and the posts I viewed this morning are still flagged as new.

Two bugs to report in one post.

1. For the last 2 nights (around 9 pm) the site has been completely unusable. Clicking any link just results in the page remaining unchanged. No error message, no nothing just no updated page.

2. All posts now seem to have vertical and horizontal scrollbars displayed - but the scrollbars do nothing as the text already fits inside the scrollable area.

Win 10, Tried IE 11 and Chrome. Scrollbars are visually different between browsers, but present in both.

Mike

The bars (or lines have some of us have called them) seem to be device related. they're not visible on all devices.

TW I think Rochelle said the "new" posts are not related to what you personally viewed but to your previous log in time.

I have scroll bars now in both Chrome and IE 11 and also on my Android phone. Be interesting to know what the purpose of them are?

David

That's my point, Brue. They were there before my first login of the day - rightly so - but they were still there after my second login later today.

It's not a big deal as I rely on the date/time of the last post to point me towards new posts. Anyway, we now have the latest post indicator kindly provided in Ask The Expert which helps. sealed

Edit: The site froze after I hit Reply. Then it stopped trying to load my reply. I had no option but to hit Reply again. This is the result.
