PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

I don't know whether it's been mentioned before of 'crossed posts'. There are two posts with the same name, in the Overseas section - both titled France First Time with a motorhome.  One is locked with three posts, and one is open  with 11 posts.  Clicking the title on the left of the open one takes you to the locked one.  The only way on my laptop, Windows 10, to get to the open post is to click on the date of the last post in the middle column.

Initially posting in one thread put the post in the other - and vice versa! There have been several other similar posts, in the Overseas section.  I don't know if it happens in other sections as well.

Lasts posts column, is not showing last post, certainly for this section and towcars and towing. Some sections seem OK.

Now I have posted this it has updated, very strange.

oh I had refreshed the page several times, so I wasn't looking at a cached version.

Posting takes a very long time to respond...a very long time.

Hence all the double posts and subsequent removals by ....Administrator ?

Hi Cyberyacht. ---------- Have you received any feedback from Grimstead Towers as to how many items on your snagging list have been resolved to date ??   Or been given a date when they are all expected to be resolved ?.

Cheers......................K

BTW not sure if it is just us, but every time we use the CC site it seems slow to load any web page.

"New posts" indication has disappeared "Again".

Can the IT department not sort out the simplest of tasks? yellyell

Hi Cyberyacht,

The "NEW" flag is shown for any item that was created after your previous login time, it is not related to whether you have viewed the item or not.

We've tested this multiple times and it's working as expected for me, could you explain exactly what you're experiencing please?

Thanks

I've seen the new' tag/flag against posts that I've made .... so it clearly doesn't work as most of us would have expected it to do.

Where is the 'New Post' button please?

Posted on 24/01/2017 15:41

There isn't  one. Theory being, that when you open one of the myriad  of topics/sections, if there's  a new post you get a green (no surprises there) 'flag' against it.

This topic has been locked, no new replies can be added.
