It's a sad day

When one of our Forum members has resigned from this Forum namely Tigerfish, I can understand why, and the sooner the Club realises a lot more will take the same action,I am not going to spell out what is wrong as the Club should know, suffice to say that there are many new members on CT that have only joined to pick a fight on a personal nature, I know as I have had abuse myself..

I joined this Forum in its infancy and many have fallen by the wayside due to Threads being closed by the Cyber Police for ridiculous reasons, in the early days everyone was friendly, but not any more, the Club should take a look before tis Forum goes down the Pan and more members call it a day including myself.

I have been in touch with other members who I have met and they think the same as me, I will give it a little longer to see if things improve and then make a decision, in the meantime Good Luck Tigerfish, I believe  many on here support you,and you will be sadly missed for your excellent Threads and Posts

I'd better sign off now before this Thread is closed, as the Club do not like criticism

Admiral

Happy Easter

Well I don't really care if tiger fish goes or not but I am now intrigued as to what was in the easter egg post!

TG's post had been pulled before I saw it too, but I suspect it was to do with this

What post of mine got pulled? which thread? I'm not aware of anything I've posted has upset someone. Please do tell me so I can review it and apologise if need be.

Sorry Tammy Girl  Embarassed..... Neveramsure & ABM were correct Kiss

It's always a sad day when a regular poster leaves, but many on here have had their posts moved and a few had their's removed and are still posting. In the long run we should be thanking the Mods for all the voluntary hard work that they put in, ensuring that the rules we've all sign up to are adhered to.

yes I have had posts moved ,removed and closed and yes it's a bit frustrating ,but it's not the end of the world ,and certainly not worth leaving a forum for .......I'm here to stay Laughing

Maybe the new website in May will be different, lets hope there are lots of improvements (Groundhog day again probably, but you never can tell....Wink)

May? I was under the impression that it was in the first quarter. Only a week to go.

I don't think it has anything to do with PC, discussion on certain topics are not allowed on this (caravaning) forum, politics is 'un-PC' but is still not allowed. The club ownes the forum, they decide the rules which you agree to, if they wanted to stop posts on ice cream that's up to them isn't it?

No, because we (the members) own the Club......although some of the Club employees seem to forget that.

Agreed, Admiral, there are better forums out there.

As one who took an extended break (without throwing my arms in the air) I can categorically state that I now post again not because it is the best forum around but because the behaviour of certain members improved to a degree.

An interesting point, do the members of this club actually own it? or is it owned by someone/thing that allows us to join it for a fee?

I could start a 'ice cream' club, I would own various assets (property...) and let you use those assets for a membership fee.

If we do own it, we would be liable for any debt wouldn't we? Any claims

You join a squah club, join a gym, but you don't own it, do you?

Any legal eagles out there? I don't think we own the club, we merely join it to allow us to use the services it provides?
