It's a sad day

When one of our Forum members has resigned from this Forum namely Tigerfish, I can understand why, and the sooner the Club realises a lot more will take the same action,I am not going to spell out what is wrong as the Club should know, suffice to say that there are many new members on CT that have only joined to pick a fight on a personal nature, I know as I have had abuse myself..

I joined this Forum in its infancy and many have fallen by the wayside due to Threads being closed by the Cyber Police for ridiculous reasons, in the early days everyone was friendly, but not any more, the Club should take a look before tis Forum goes down the Pan and more members call it a day including myself.

I have been in touch with other members who I have met and they think the same as me, I will give it a little longer to see if things improve and then make a decision, in the meantime Good Luck Tigerfish, I believe  many on here support you,and you will be sadly missed for your excellent Threads and Posts

I'd better sign off now before this Thread is closed, as the Club do not like criticism

Admiral

Happy Easter

This is a bit of a Groundhog day thread as we've said farewell to TF a few times....and as always I say, you're welcome back!

Maybe the new website in May will be different, lets hope there are lots of improvements (Groundhog day again probably, but you never can tell....Wink)

Write your comments here...Brue don't you think that even with the improvements threads will be closed for discussing politics relgion ect , it might improve the running but I don't think they will be changing the rules Undecided

...No I don't think the rules will change Ruby, we started off without rules and that didn't work either.

I can never understand why people join, accept the rules, then proceed to break them. What do they expect to happen? The rules are there, like them or not. We follow them or accept the consequences if we break them.

Likewise, it's illogical to complain when threads are moved to their correct place. What is the problem with that?

+1 I can only assume that they think the rules do not apply to them?

I don't think it has anything to do with PC, discussion on certain topics are not allowed on this (caravaning) forum, politics is 'un-PC' but is still not allowed. The club ownes the forum, they decide the rules which you agree to, if they wanted to stop posts on ice cream that's up to them isn't it?

No, Husky, it's run by the Community Manager and other staff. The Champions perform moderation tasks but don't run it. There is a difference.

I don't know why you let it get to you.Wink

Yes the club owns the forumHappybut its run by the mods Sad

.......... who follow the rules laid down by the Club management, they have a job to do and do it well Happy

Sad days are awful events that happen around the world, this is just another member deciding this forum is not for him.

That's very true, Dave. TF quitting CT again isn't on a par with the events in Belgium.

I have like many of you wished TF all the best in the past and do so again now but to expect the rules and regs to change is fantasy. I too was a member who resisted the change from just posting on GC to posting on separate categories but the reality was that when we all posted on GC it was near imposable to find an old post or even a day old post disappeared under the pile of new ones.

I still post on GC and find that it sometimes gets moved but the mod’s have a job to do based on the rules and I accept that. I can be as much a rebel as anyone but have learned that banter and humour can get you further.

I took some time out from CT as I did not like the direction some of the members were taking it but have come to realise there is room for all points of view and that is what makes CT interesting and mostly friendly.

So happy posting to old and new members.Wink
