Is anyone finding the site fees are becoming unaffordable especially for 2 adults and 3 kids? Over £60 per night in some places.  It's not like we are taking up anymore space or using more electricity. Cheaper to get a hotel with breakfast included and someone makes your bed!

just had a week at new England bay site not quite half full also one day went round to garliston a lot of empty pitches there as well the school hols have started over the border .also have looked at late availability for Cumbria north east and Yorkshire over the next month not many days are either low availability or booked up .looks like the bean counters are missing a point over their site fee structure .or do they want less tourers then they can put in their camping pods/lodges like there doing at park coppice

It’s simple, as other business in free open competitive markets operate, when customers go elsewhere one option is to drop prices or incentivise in other ways. So, those who are aggrieved by CAMC pricing go and vote with your wallet. I am not defending the club, simply pointing out the freedom we still have as customers. Last weekend we stayed at a club site booked at very short notice on a jumbo pitch at £50/night. All the private/commercial sites in that area seemed to be booked and given the preceding weeks personal news, I wanted to have an easy weekend. Next month we are hoping to have 3 weekend breaks, only one of which is on a club site, and yes it is the most expensive. However it is where we want to go and still a fraction the price of half decent hotel.
