CAMC site fees

Is anyone finding the site fees are becoming unaffordable especially for 2 adults and 3 kids? Over £60 per night in some places.  It's not like we are taking up anymore space or using more electricity. Cheaper to get a hotel with breakfast included and someone makes your bed!

" ...BM is £39 pn as opposed to BW’s £56... "

WTG - You could have got an even better deal at Bury View, in open countryside and an easy drive to the Park & Ride for Bath. A nice small site with very friendly owners. 👍

Moulesy - Whilst I normally like your recommendations of campsites, I'm afraid this is not one of your better ones.  Situated right at the side of a busy A road will not give you a relaxing stay. Definitely a site I would gladly give a miss.

The website is also very poor and the lack of site photos is to me always a red flag. Even Facebook doesn't show many photos.

Well it's not the sort of site you'd want to sit around on all day, admittedly , Mikey. The road is busy in the morning and afternoon commute times but not during the day. But, as I said, it offers an alternative ("better vfm"?) to Bath Marina (and certainly to Chew Valley) as a base for visiting Bath, has good clean facilities (at least when we stayed there) and there's a decent pub within safe walking distance.

Have you actually stayed there?

We haven't stayed there as generally quietness is the number one consideration when choosing a site.

So they may not need those facilities but they may well want/ expect them and are happy to pay for them whether on what some consider "basic" club site or "better" commercial ones.

M, If I wanted facilities, I wouldn't expect to find them on a campsite. I would be looking for something more upmarket than a campsite.
