Arrival times

just booked a few weeks at the blackpool south club site .But it now seems that they have altered the arrival time from 12 to 1 o-clock I can go along with that as its a very narrow lane outside so no room to queue with out causeing a traffic jam . My gripe (complaint) is that sites don,t enforce the leave time we have seen people in caravans leaving at 4pm at blackpool and believe it or not 2 leaving southport site at 6.30pm (caravans) you can,t tell if motorhomes are leaving or just nipping out so come on club sites lets have some rules everybody has to stick to in fairness to all members.

But the staff have to be manning reception continuously from 9.00am perhaps to admit units, so do they employ extra staff to fulfill the duties required to run the site if reception is manned (or womanned if that is a word undecidedinnocent)?

... and if so, cannot this be done at more sites that have a larger turnover!

I'm not bothered either way, but would like to know why there is a variance.

..and this is the point Ive raised several times....in fact, someone even mused about 'tail wagging dog' when noting that, to a degree, staffing levels are contributary to a 'fixed' arrivals program....

despite some mentioned sites having larger turning areas (why would you want to turn around having arrived....?) or whatever, it still requires staff to check folk in earlier than 'the norm', so how do these sites do it?

more staff? different grass cutting/toilet cleaning regime?

something must be different, so if it can happen there....?

thanks to M I see that when you mean you pop on for a couple of minutes occasionally you mean that you personally pop on occasionally each hour! Five times between 2 and 3 pm today, or even six times in 62 minutes.

Thanks for showing an interest Corners. I am gratified to find out that I am so popular that there are a handful of you so interested in the minutiae of my excellent contributions that you are pleased to share times and dates so that others can benefit from my wisdom. I can only put it down to my honesty, good nature and the fact that I am never wrong. wink

Thanks again !
