I can't see the original sticky so will start a new thread.  Saw nearly 30,000 knot on Breydon Water yesterday.  Great weekend at Minsmere, Otter, Kingfishers, Bitterns, lots of Marsh Harriers

A first for me today, a group of six snow buntings on our coastal path. I wonder if they had just made land fall as they were busy feeding on grass seeds and totally uninterested in us watching them from about 3 metres away. Fabulous, but once again without my camera!

We had 2 Cirl Buntings outside our lounge window yesterday not sure whether we would see Snow Buntings down here a good spot mickysf. If we get any Redwings and Fieldfares this winter there will be no Pyracantha berries as the Blackbirds and Thrushes have eaten nearly all of them.

Just seen these, I think they are Purple Sandpipers but not sure. Help anyone?

Just checked  few bird books as I have quite a few and I would say yes it is a Purple Sandpiper good spot, none around here as too far from the sea.

Surely are Nell, we have several that hang about Ness Point most of the winter

What did you have hanging about, Oneputt? Is Ness Point the furthest point East on the UK mainland?

Just had the male Hawfinch on our window feeder much earlier than last year and I have put some more feeders out and it does not take long for the message to get around, have stocked up well in advance this year as once supplies sell out most places do not get another supply in but usually sunflowers seeds are in stock most of the year.
