What I did in work today

I hope this does not upset anyone but thought as there was a post mainly for us retired people to discuss what we do at our leisure that there should also be a post for those still working to post. Just as some might be jealous of our freetime, some might be missing work cammeradery.

Malcolm

If Just Eat and Starship Technologies have their way you might be looking for a different type of job soon. Here in MK they plan to test self driving robots to deliver take away food orders.

David

That sounds like a good reason to stay out of MK David. I can just see the insurance claim. "I was broadsided by a robotic Pizza at 20mph"

Steve

I think the pizza is likely to do you more harm than the robot!!! We are awaiting the introduction of driverless pods which will ferry people from the railways station to CMK. Fortunately we have a lot of space around us so there should be no need to worry.

David

...The guided bus way in Cambridge that was well over budget when built is not able to keep buses on it, let alone having driverless vehicles on the real roadsSurprised

5 deliveries so far today. Received activation code from HMRC giving me access to do self-assessment tax returns online. Received email confirmation that the code is now successfully activated. So it's all set up but I still need to learn how to do a self-assessment online. When I entered the site all it said was how to get PAYE. I couldn't find the link to self-assessment.

12 deliveries done yesterday and £50.50 earned in delivery fees. Actual time spent on deliveries was one hour in the afternoon and four hours in the evening. So that works out to over £10 per hour. The rest of the time we were at home in our caravan.

I think I'm sorted - but we only have one employee (who will be 65 in August). I'm using NEST.
