Wouldn’t wish it on anyone WN. ☹️ Every day brings up a different challenge, those who care for dementia patients should get paid in gold bars, never mind minimum wage. We do it for love.

We still have all our snow here. Icy this morning, bit of a melt when sun came out, but a lot still around. Not many vehicles out, a good few abandoned here and there. Snowy woodland walk for us today.

We envy you getting a Dental appointment KJ and Wherenext!   We last went a year ago.  Our June 2020 appointments were cancelled and rearranged for October, these were then cancelled and told they will contact us with another appointment - still waiting!  OH has lost two fillings, fortunately not painful but annoying, on calling the Dentist he was told just get the filling stuff from a chemist, this fell out so often he has given up now.  Fingers crossed they might, just might, contact us sometime soon.

Both of us have just had a text offering  anti virus jabs for next week and second date in April coollaughing

Ps Had press realease Email from West Essex and Hertfordshire NHS just after lunch (it is timed at) just opened it advising, that it is possible that those in the vulnerable groups may get two letters about vacines ,one from the national vacine rollout ,and one from your local GPs for you to contact either to attend at a set time Please Do Not arrive early as it can cause queues ,

there is a lot of other bumf but that is the gist of it

Just for info for any one interested and waiting

Good to know you get the date for the second vaccination, I wasn't sure if you did. There is talk they may be extending the time gap between jabs longer than 12 weeks.

That really would be asking for an outcry. Many folk aren't happy with the 12 weeks as it's not been proven by the manufacturers as yet that there is no fall off in efficacy. Still, there's nowt I can do about it.

Heddlo, we were very grateful when our Dentist started up again in Summer. They decided to invest in all of the necessary PPE gear and they didn't charge us for it by increasing the monthly fee. We both had check ups and Mrs WN has had 2 appointments kept for taking out a temporary filling, having a mould taken and a new crown fitted. They did have to close that dentists surgery for an hour afterwards but we can't complain. However her daughter came down with Leukaemia just before Christmas. Not yet 5 y.o. So whilst appointments have been cancelled they have rearranged them as best as they can, Mrs WN did have the one for the fitting rearranged, so I feel we simply must allow her daughters treatment to come first. Ours is mere inconvenience, hers is life threatening.

We do indeed feel fortunate, twice over.

Hope you get yours soon.

According to my daughter ,when she had hers a couple of days ago,,the extended time gap is possibly the vacine one is given ,it seems the Pfizer ,is more being given after 3 weeks and the Oxford one is 12 as it has a longer "shelf" life by being able to be kept at fridge temps?

she has three weeks before next phizer jab

And i asked what vacine we would be getting and was advised the Oxford

My Mum was given a date for her second jab. Rescinded a few days before she was due to go. She had the Pfizer, I have her batch card number and dates safe. No indication yet of a new date.
