That really would be asking for an outcry. Many folk aren't happy with the 12 weeks as it's not been proven by the manufacturers as yet that there is no fall off in efficacy. Still, there's nowt I can do about it.

But we know the first dose gives a high level of immunity which might mean that waiting even longer for the second dose it might be possible to to vaccinate many more people which in itself reduces the prevalence of COVID? This is still probably work in progress but it is a fast moving situation.

How very interesting Millie. Lichfield is lovely, very interesting. I believe Cardinal Wolsey stayed there on his last trip up North, shortly before he died. As you say, plenty of space, decent number of exits, and there is a good car park just over the roadπŸ‘

Correction, I am confusing Lichfield with Southall Minster. Lichfield is much larger.

Some good friends of ours are lucky enough to live opposite Southwell Minster TDA. After they moved in they had a patio put in at the front of their house so they can sit there and enjoy the lovely view.

Another cold day here. That’s the first coat of emulsion done on the upstairs bedroom so just another coat now then one of the walls need wallpapered so getting there. We will need a carpet not sure when we will be able to get that done hopefully not too long. Just a night in tonight a few beers and the snooker on SWMBO is knitting a jumper for one of the gkids

Hope everyone has a nice weekend

It’s was one of our first days out getting used to new MH. It’s not too far from where we live, and as you know we love churches. Only a day trip, but well worth going to see. I recall the Minster Shop being very good. We have really missed our Winter tours, like to put together something different this time of year. The last church we were in was back last early March, a lovely village one that had a brilliant second hand book sales, and local wood carvings for sale. All to boost church funds. Trying to remember name of village in Dales......πŸ€”

Edit:  TDA Cardinal woolsey visited Peterborough Cathedral at Easter 1530 on what was supposed to be his journey back to London having been recalled by Henry VII but he was too ill to get back. After Peterborough he stayed with the Fitzwilliams at Milton Hall ( which didnt please Henry VII!). I believe he then died in Leicester.

We havent been to see our friends in Southwell for over a year for obvious reasons. Hope we can get to see them sometime this year.

Very interesting Millie. Thanks for that. I knew he died in Leicester, but not about the visit. 😁

Good to know you get the date for the second vaccination, I wasn't sure if you did. There is talk they may be extending the time gap between jabs longer than 12 weeks.

Not always the case that one gets a second date, we didn't. I guess it depends on your surgery's system.

Glad to hear that you and your OH have got your jab appointments JVB.

I have seen on the news this evening that Lichfield Cathedral have become a vaccine hub. What a brilliant idea. They all have so much space, several entrances and exits and are usually near the centre of the town. Also that is what the abbeys originally did. They provided a welcome and medical help to the local community. I hope more cathedrals follow suit.

We are bracing ourselves for the possibility of a lot of snow tomorrow. Most unusual for this area.

Blackburn Cathedral is going to be another vaccine hub next week.

The surgery we are having our jabs is not part  of our practise, but are one in the area that is doing jabs for several others
