For grisly tales, a guide at Eilean Donan castle was telling me a bit of the history of a broadsword hung on the wall describing that an unfortunate soul was cut in half, the blade entering at the shoulder and exiting at the thigh. He concluded with the disclaimer "It did nae matter. He was only a Campbell"

Cor Blimey Nellie.

I thought for one minute Mrs Nellie had called in the Bomb Disposal Squad after finding that the cut price goodies from Aldi were way past their Best Before Dates, something like 20 years, and the brandy in the Christmas Puds was beginning to smoulder. 😱😂

What a surprise, it's raining! I've been given my tasks for the day which basically means sorting out things, cleaning windows (inside only) and cooking. Now where did I put that ladder?🤔

Woke to snow here, not that much though.  DD says they  mainly have slush down in town.

She has been to Ikea for a click and collect, well organised, designated loading bay, no  contact with staff, though  they forgot her second trolley to start with, fortunately she noticed before leaving, it was the items she had added to the order for us.

May go out later to check on the Guide Hall, worried about frozen pipes.

Very wet and windy earlier on, an alarm clock went off in my head to get a delivery slot so that was sorted v. early!

Now sunny.

OH battling on with the kitchen painting and refurbs. Daughter's partner phoned about their bathroom showing signs of damp and needing repairs...phone advice adminstered. wink

I've got some sewing jobs done that have been lingering in the background for a couple of years...I'm longing for a break so I can forget to do the rest!! A long way off I think. undecided

Easy meals planned as every surface in the kitchen has been filled with stuff usually on shelves etc.

Hope you've found your skis and sledges in the north?! wink

It’s deep. And it’s a wonderful way of keeping lots of folks indoors. Lots of stuck cars.
